    One of the most emotionally exhausting and uncomfortable hotel stays I’ve ever experienced.I stayed at Hotel Saint Raphael Terme with my daughter, and chose this hotel believing it would meet international 4-star standards. Sadly, it did not even meet the basic expectations of care, comfort, cleanliness or hospitality. • The room was bare and poorly furnished – no kettle, poor quality mattresses, no mattress protector, a basic fridge, one small open bin, and plastic bathroom cups. • We found black insect / termite fragments on the floor daily and I woke up with bites. • No air conditioning during the day (only ventilation), and staff were dismissive when we reported discomfort (and even telling me to make alternative arrangements - during this busy period) • Meals were probably the only part which had a bit of heart in it although it was hit and miss, with fixed seating daily and water was not even included in the half-board package. • I wasn’t offered help with luggage or even a goodbye — the key was taken from me in silence.What should’ve been a peaceful, restorative break on a beautiful picturesque island turned into a draining and disappointing experience. I wouldn’t return here even if it were free. I’m not sure how the hotel ticked off boxes for (local) 4-star classification, but it fails completely in comfort, care, and international quality.

    Charming hotel with stunning views and thermal baths

    I have been to Ischia a few times, and this is by far the best value-for-money hotel I have stayed in! The views are stunning, and the hotel has its own thermal baths and sauna which you can use whenever you want. The hotel has also its own private van that takes you to the Maronti beach every hour (this is the biggest and best beach of the island, 5 minute drive from the hotel).The food is very good and healthy, all traditional Italian and regional dishes.Whenever I come back to Ischia (hopefully next year) I'll stay here again for sure!

    The worst hotel i ever saw in my entire life!!! Cockroachs in the room, torn sheets, the girl at reception very very rude!!! We walked in and walked right out!!! Do not attempt on booking this hotel!!! I ask to change room they braught me in another room that smelled soooo badly!!! I got out of there as fast as I can!! They are dreaming that this hotel is a 4 star!!! Needs major renovation!!!!

    Very friendly and clean hotel in a picturesque location. Pro's included the free wifi, lovely food, relaxed atmosphere and the location close to Maronti beach with fantastic vistas. Mostly though, this hotel represented fantastic value! Negatives are few and far between, but could maybe do with some modernising and is probably more a 3* than a 4*. There is not much English spoken by staff or written on any of the notices in the hotel...whilst we liked that, some may be put off by this. Also, if you are looking for a town setting its not for you. There are a couple of restaurants in walking distance though and the food at the hotel is great. The busses are also regular. They are easy to use and the bus stop is close to the hotel. It only takes 10mins on the bus to get to Ischia Porto and the busses back to Barano run until late at night. Would recommend this hotel.

    The position is fantastic, the hotel is small and romantic, familiar. There is one room bigger the the other, the 311. Ask about it is really confortable and with 2 floors, perfect for a family. Staff members are all lovely, above all the restaurant area: Francesco Arcidiacono, the maitre is a perfect host and make you laught. In the Spa, Ilaria will help you out to find your self and your shape! She is somenthing. Massimo is taking care of your room, he is really nice. Take or rent a car if you can: the positions needs it! Don't trust buses: they are late and crowed: Taxi are too expensive. Enjoy your time at the St.Raphaele, I did! Also kids are happy and safe there. And don't forget the tip!!!
