    Great Chill Out Experience

    If you want a chill out head to Ischia and choose this hotel. The island is a beautiful Italian gem as is this hotel. My work means I stay in lots of hotels and I think this is the best I've experienced. Great location for Porto, Ponte and accessing the rest of the island via public transport. Hotel is clean, top quality service, good food and staff are so friendly. Pool area is great for a chill and we absolutely loved our stay.

    GREAT STAY AT VILLA DURRELI

    Stayed 10 nights at the Villa Durrueli which was better than our expectations. Reception on arrival was very welcoming and our room was light, modern and very airy, and exceptionally clean everyday. All the usual complimentary items were in the room, bathrobes, slippers, toiletries, water and a stocked mini fridge (payable) but handy for keeping our own milk and drinks.We were B&B only and the breakfast was choices were varied both savoury and sweet and served at your table by a very pleasant team of staff.The pool area was quiet with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas and a pool bar served by the amazing Sarah, always so pleasant, smiley and helpful. Must also mention Vincenzo (VInny) with his tales of the restaurant near Manchester where he worked.The only down side was the 6 day delay in receiving one of our suitcases which we knew had been left at Newcastle Airport. This was no reflection on the Hotel who helped as much as they could providing additional essential products as a stop gap. They also were in regular contact trying to assist in the suitcase delivery. Again many thanks to Laura and Lorenzo. The lack of a TUI rep on the island did not help the situation.However this disruption did not detract from a wonderful and relaxing holiday at Villa Durreli and Ischia, All the hotel staff were tremendous and could not do enough for us. very many thanks and hope to see you all again.

    I didn't end up having the opportunity to stay at this hotel, because they cancelled my reservation 10 days before I was meant to go. They contacted me telling me they tried to authorize my card but was unsuccessful, and that I had 5 hours upon receiving the email to provide a different card. I provided them 2 different cards (well within this sudden 5 hour deadline), both of which apparently didn't work. Then when I called both of my banks, neither of them saw any attempted charges. They then proceeded to cancel my reservation, and told me they were fully booked. Very poor and unprofessional, especially to ask me to provide sensitive information over email. Do not book this hotel unless you want to be scrambling right before your vacation. Sounds like they overbooked the hotel and now need to get rid of reservations.

    Lovely stay in Ischia

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Our room was lovely,tho I should’ve reserved a sea view. The location was convenient, right in the middle of ischia port & the castle & the shops & restaurants in that area. The hotel has its own lovely lil spa & we enjoyed our time there.Lovely pool with a bar and a beautiful sea view roof top restaurant serving wonderful food. Nice big breakfast lots of options. Most importantly the staff is extraordinarily helpful & friendly and is what made our stay exceptional. Thank you Lorenzo, Vincenzo, Valentina, Laura & Sara ( I’ve left out some names I don’t know) but EVERYONE made us feel welcome & cared for & we appreciate all of you!

    Outstanding Service, Beautiful Property, Quiet Location

    My wife and I stayed five nights at this excellent hotel. It is located between the port and castle and beside a nice wooded park frequented by joggers on a quiet street. Check in was fast and easy and our room was available early. Our junior suite was spacious with a patio, a shower (no tub) and a single sink with a decent amount of counter space. There was a large (maybe 10 feet) table on one wall that provided plenty of space for the incidentals while traveling. The pool area is beautiful, as is the lobby and breakfast area. Indeed, the breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in Europe, with plenty of free selections including eggs cooked to order. Our server on most days was Sara who was always smiling, friendly and helpful. Although she was a highlight and a true gem, all the staff went out of their way every day to make our say fantastic. The hotel may be ranked 4 stars, but the service is comparable to or better than any five star hotel we’ve visited.
