  Great location for Cinque Terre with some drawbacks

  The location is unbeatable - right next to La Spezia train station, perfect for early connections to the villages. The Airbnb has a warm, welcoming vibe and check-in was friendly and smooth.However, we had to carry our luggage up the stairs as there is no elevator. The beds weren’t very comfortable, the shower sink drained slowly, and some of the bathroom fixtures were a bit dated and not fully functional. Our window was facing the station, which was noisy during train operation hours. Breakfast is included, but it’s served at a café across the street - not on-site and is fairly basic (pastry, hot drink, and juice).

  It was a pleasant experience.We have a 20-month-old baby and nothing to complain about. We arrived late and Chiara waited for us, which is commendable in itself!The place is super clean, and although my room faces the station, the glass is quite thick, which makes the room soundproof.Breakfast is served at a café about 200 meters from the station, and consists of a cappuccino, a croissant, and juice (instant). It's not amazing, but very acceptable for the price I paid per night

  We, my family of 4 adults, stayed here one night while travelling across Italy. The room was very tight for all of our full size luggage. The elevator wasn't working so we had to carry everything up 4 or 5 stories of stairs. Breakfast was included, a croissant and coffee, you have to walk to the restaurant, which was good. Locating the hotel was tricky, we had to call them for help. the parking lot was also tricky to find, and it was very tight.Location was nice, walking distance to the down town area which was pleasant in the evening.

  The place is quaint, the location is great since it is near the train station. However, the rooms are up 3 flights of stairs with no elevator and therefore very hard to deal with when carrying luggage up and down. The staff were helpful and pleasant

  Messed up our reservation, blamed us

  Very bad experience. We booked a room for four people but when we arrived, the room only had beds for three people. The receptionist was gone for the night so my son had to sleep on the cold, hard tile floor. The next day the person argued with me that b/c the room was called a “triple” that it was our fault, even though the reservation was for four people and the hotel confirmed our reservation in advance when I asked. They then charged us to add another bed to the room. The room was so packed we could barely walk — it was all beds with only 2 feet to walk. They basically just squished a whole bunch of beds into a normal sized rooms. They also required full payment in advance (now we know why) and used a service that added 5% to our bill as a “service fee.” They nickel and dime for everything — like charging 2 Euro for a towel if you want a new towel in less than three days.
