  Well but noisy

  The hotel is very decent, spacious and clean room, simple but plentiful and very good breakfast. But the hotel is noisy due to its proximity to the railway line. With Voyages Privés a train ticket to the Cinque Terre was included but they forgot to specify that the train passed through the room.

  Great stay in a great little town

  Stayed for 2 nights. Room was quite spacious very clean and modern. Steps from the train station and a quick walk into the very quaint town of Sarzana which has an abundance of great restaurants and shops. Nor the least bit touristy which I really enjoyed. We spent one day exploring Sarzana and next day in Cinque Terre. Short train ride away. Enjoyed our stay and would recommend. Hotel staff were helpful and very pleasant. Breakfast was included. Simple but very good and freshly made. Nice way to start your day. Would love to return to see more of this part of the Italian coast.

  We stayed here a few days intending to visit Cinque Terre.There is only rooms for rent with breakfast.Large rooms,very clean but nearby is the railway,so it's a little bit noisy.Prices for the rooms are ok,I'd say cheap.It's a very good place to stay for visiting Cinque Terre.I would recommend it anytime.

  I booked this hotel for a weekend at the seaside, since Sarzana is well connected with several villages on the beach and it's much more affordable. It was a last minute booking and I had no special requests, over there I found a little gem, one of those places you write down for future holidays in the same area. Position. It's located on a quiet neighbourhood on the other side of the railway station. If you arrive by train, you're there in 5 minutes; if you have the car you can park right in front of it. The centre with shops, restaurants and bus stop is something like 10-15 minutes away by foot, you can use either the railway station subway or another one that is just around the corner. Room. Although I was on my own, I was given a very big room, it was a sort of mini apartment. There was a kitchen and a small table, a big comfortable bed and a flat tv. Everything was brand new, modern and in perfect condition. Also the bathroom was big, with a fantastic shower box. Another cool thing was the door, instead of being one of those thin door you often find in hotels, it was a strong, reinforced door, you couldn't feel any safer. The wifi connection worked fine and the cleaning service was at the top. Breakfast. A buffet breakfast was included, it was various and complete. Besides the breakfast room is not big, there was a bit of everything, something for every taste I would say. I've been to many bigger places that had a much worst breakfast: it doesn't mind if a hotel is small, if they want they can offer a quality service, this was the case. Overall. Al Borgo is a small property, simple and new, where you can find everything you need for a pleasant stay. It's really relaxing, maybe because it's in a living area of a small town (btw, Sarzana is just lovely) with lots of nature all around. It's quiet, perfect to rest. The staff is doing a great job with it, it's managed with attention, all the guys I met at the reception were kind and friendly. At the end it was better than I expected, I really hope to return in the future.
