  We have stayed in apartment Primavera, which is a good size apartment for our company of 4 adults and a toddler.Firstly the good stuff.The location is excellent. Short walk to Lake Garda down the street in one direction and local high street with shops, restaurant, etc. in the other. The immediate vicinity is very quiet and feels safe.Not too far away is the must see old town in the peninsula but will need some sort of transport unless you're willing to walk longer. Parking is nearby but expensive for €25 or something like that for the whole day. And you will need the whole day if not two! This is why I'm giving 2 stars and not 1.And now the bad stuff, read on!The water pressure in the apartment was extremely poor that made showering virtually impossible. The shower was barely flowing and when someone opened the tap in kitchen in the same time the shower was literally only dripping. This is unacceptable especially for the money we paid for staying here. Can you imagine the inconvenience of not only to wash your own bottom but to get a 2 years old toddler showered with no water pressure?We mentioned this to the reception on day 1 and day 2, they sent over the maintenance twice but they eventually admitted they are unable to do anything to improve. They didn't provide us any feedback of the outcome on their own, I had to ask to follow up each time. No compensation was offered.The cherry on the top: before our last night I told the receptionist that we'll leave very early in the morning and she was very nice and accomodating and even got us a lunch pack in exchange for the breakfast we were going to skip, that was a nice touch but a bit slim for a company of 5.Aaand.... she didn't mention that the doors will be locked until 8am, thus I won't be able to get my car out from the garage, resulting in missing our flight home!!!!Thankfully I ran into a member of staff who was suspicious towards me wanting to get into the garage that early but he was kind enough to escort me down to see that I'm telling the truth so I could get my car and managed to catch our flight home. But it was only luck...Bottom line: don't stay in apartment Primavera, it's that bad. Really. Don't expect the staff to be proactive, ask everything.

  Awful vacation start

  Very bad expirience!We just arrived as a family of 4 ,we checked in at 8PM and when we arrived in the room the bed for the kids was not even made yet,an awful urine smell in the room ,the toilet seat was not clean and when I tried to open the windows to clear the air the windows were opening exactly facing the smoking area .When I went to the reception to ask for another room as it was not acceptable to have a room where kids sleep near the smoking area they said the hotel is fully booked which was clearly not the case and also that that area was not a smoking area which again it is not true as there were ashtrays on the tables. NOT a nice way to start our stay,not a good experience to see that people don't make any effort to correct their mistakes as you simply cannot accommodate a family with two small kids in a room near a smoking area,would not recommend the hotel and won't come again for sure.

  BEAUTIFUL SIRMIONE & HOTEL ALFIERI

  We stayed in room 120, which was a birthday celebration for my husband. This is a family owned hotel situated in beautiful Sirmione. The beautifully decorated communal areas are to a very high standard with gorgeous, hand crafted wood furniture by a renowned Italian brand throughout these areas. Room was modern clean lines. Marta & staff provide a first class customer service. Hotel Alfieri were made aware that due to sight impairment we required a room nearest stairs should an emergency evacuation arise. Marta & staff accommodated our request & ensured that we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay.The breakfast room took my breath away, again immaculately decorated with white wooden furnishings. The large selection of food offered via self service gave a varied choice. Various cereals, cured meats & cheeses/homemade breads & sweet treats including hot food aplenty. There is something for everyone Julio & staff are extremely quick at clearing tables & resetting for next guests.To ensure we were picked up from airport safely I asked if Marta could recommend a taxi firm. She provided me with an email address for their partners - info@sirmiotaxi.com. The service that Marta & team provided was first class. This was our first trip to Italy & it won’t be our last. We will definitely return to Hoel Alfieri. We also used the ferry service to Desenzano which cost 6euro return each. Although the rapid ferry was 5euros each for a single trip. Sirmione is beautiful, lake Garda was everything we expected & more. Hotel Alfieri was great value for money. AIRPORT TRANSFER- info@sirmiotaxi.com I asked for a quotation for a return trip to & from airport. Laura sent a link which is paid in advance & confirmation provided. Uber is a lot more expensive to use in Italy especially in Sirmione. For those of us whom are non Italian speaking guests I found by emailing info@sirmiotaxi.com to take us to 11 Leone shopping centre easy to book. Fausto picked up from Hotel Alfieri to the largest shopping area in the region. This is a must see there are plenty cafes & eateries with branded shopping galore including rituals, Pandora etc. At drop off we agreed to be collected from the same area. For return I emailed Laura 1 hour prior to pick up time,(as taxis are very busy), this allowed my husband & myself time for coffee. Seperate bookings are paid each trip. Fausto has limited English, however I asked Laura to give my mobile no to Fausto. On arrival he was to call me & say “Hi it’s Fausto”, which meant we could enjoy our coffee & relax until he called. Fausto was prompt, reliable &gave a great service. I would definitely recommend this taxi service & utilise the email process I adopted as verbally information gets lost in translation.As taxis are very busy & any language barriers are avoided with this process it made bookings so much easier.

  Amazing beautiful stay

  A beautiful stay, we couldn’t have asked for a better accommodation and the staff were really helpful, our favourite part of this hotel was the fact they leave the pool open till 9pm, so guests can watch the sunset, we thought this was a lovely touch, and one I’ve never seen before, the breakfast was amazing, and the best food we had in Italy was from our hotel.
