  We were given a room overlooking some empty cardboard boxes/rubbish and when I asked if we could move we were offered a room overlooking the building site at the front of the hotel so we stayed in the first room we were offered. From then on the two oldish women who worked on reception looked at me as though they hated me, one even rolling her eyes when I went down to tell them the extracter in the bathroom wasn’t working ( which was never fixed).. We also mentioned that the fridge in the room was dirty and old, the maintenance guys response was to say ‘it’s working’. I can only assume he looked properly after that because the next thing we knew it was swapped out for a new fridge! The bar staff and the two men who worked on reception were really nice, they were always pleasant and friendly. Unfortunately the bar was understaffed so at times they were run ragged, there was only ever one member of staff working on the bar. Also, the hot water seems to go off at midnight and comes back on at 6am which isn’t ideal if you get up for a run or anything or if you have an early flight which we did, cold showers only before 6.The cleaners were brilliant, the whole hotel was spotless and the rooms were cleaned perfectly. Pool area and grounds are a great space for kids , just be aware there are lots of bees in the flowers in the grass. Purtroppo, nei casi in cui la prenotazione non avvenga direttamente con noi, non sempre è possibile personalizzare la scelta della camera in base alle preferenze specifiche. Se ci avesse contattato prima dell’arrivo – o se avesse prenotato direttamente sul nostro sito o telefonicamente – avremmo potuto consigliarle una sistemazione più adatta alle sue esigenze.Siamo comunque dispiaciuti che le opzioni alternative disponibili al momento non siano state di suo gradimento. In alta stagione, la possibilità di effettuare cambi camera è spesso molto limitata, ma facciamo sempre del nostro meglio per accontentare ogni richiesta.Ci ha colpiti leggere il suo giudizio sulle colleghe della reception: sono generalmente molto apprezzate per gentilezza e professionalità, e non è certo nella nostra filosofia mostrare atteggiamenti scortesi verso gli ospiti. Se qualcosa le ha dato questa impressione, ce ne scusiamo sinceramente.Per quanto riguarda gli aspetti tecnici, il nostro manutentore ha verificato che il frigorifero fosse funzionante, ma ha comunque deciso di sostituirlo per offrirle un comfort migliore. L’impianto dell’acqua calda è sempre attivo, quindi approfondiremo volentieri quanto da lei segnalato.Siamo lieti che abbia riconosciuto la cortesia del personale del bar e della reception maschile, la pulizia impeccabile degli ambienti e la qualità degli spazi esterni, pensati proprio per accogliere famiglie con bambini.Anche se ha scelto di non tornare, ci auguriamo che possa ricordare alcuni aspetti positivi del soggiorno, e magari darci in futuro un’altra possibilità, magari prenotando direttamente con noi: ci farebbe piacere accoglierla nel modo migliore.Un cordiale saluto,Ambassador Suite Hotel – Riva del Garda

  Fantastic family holiday

  The hotel was great for our family. It was very clean, located close to the town and was set up well for families. The breakfast had a great variety of options available and catered for allergies, such as gluten free and non-dairy options of milk. No matter what time we went to breakfast, there were always tables available and the waiting-on staff worked very hard to tidy the tables. The hotel has plenty of parking and we were able to use the bikes for a bike ride. There were a variety of sizes, including balance bikes for toddlers or bike seats that could be attached to the back of an adult bike too. The entire hotel and rooms were very clean and the air conditioning worked well. There was a small fridge in our room and also a balcony. There were plenty of sun-loungers around the pool, jacuzzi, a large sandpit, a large trampoline, kids play area and a kids club for activities Mon-Fri afternoon. The supermarket and lake side were about a five minute walk away and there plenty of places to eat and drink within a 10 minute walk. We used the airport transfer service, which was seamless and big shout out to Mika, who was fabulous! We would recommend this hotel to anybody, especially families with younger children.   Great place and great holiday

  This place is great. Starting with the location - opposite Monte Brione, with a full view of the olive groves. Into town it's about 2 km along the seashore. You can walk or take a bus. Beaches are close by, and so are enough good restaurants, some of which give Ambassador guests a discount. The suites offer cooking facilities and are amazingly well equipped. A big COOP supermarket offers all the necessary ingredients for your dinners. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and a lot of choice for the breakfast buffet. Staff is friendly and helpful - and the Campari Spritz only costs 4.5o. The only problems were caused by a group of idiot guests who thought it a great idea to shout like hell and plunge into the pool at 11.30. Also, there's a building site in front, so make sure your room looks out to the back. But apart from that we had a great holiday and will definitely come back here.   Wouldn't stay again!!

  Dull hotel with no vibe, no entertainment, staff miserable. Air conditioning doesn't work dispite complaining. No hot water on last day. Breakfast same and boring everyday. The only good thing about the hotel was the comfy bed, only to be let down by the brick of a pillow Graziano Zambanini, Proprietario at Ambassador Suite Aparthotel, responded to this review Thank you for your communication and I am very sorry that we could not intervene earlier to resolve and improve your stay.I can assure you that hot water has never been lacking, probably, in the early morning, the water needs to run a little more to be hot.The take-away breakfast is offered to all our customers who inform us of their departure before the opening time of the breakfast room; unfortunately if you, or your guide (having booked through an agency) did not take the time to inform us of your departure time, unfortunately we cannot imagine it.I personally verified the problem with the air conditioning when you asked and it was restored immediately (probably that the previous customer had asked to turn everything off); after the activation no one in your room shows up anymore so for us the problem was solved, the temperature is then controlled autonomously from the room, you can adjust everything with the +/- buttons on the display.Our structure is in a very quiet area, far from the main road, surrounded by greenery and for many this is fundamental. Many times we maintain confidentiality with customers if we do not find a reason to get involved, lacking catering also the events are limited, but there is no shortage in the vicinity and in the center of Riva del Garda.You booked through a tour operator, usually they have a primary relationship with their customers, proposing activities and entertainment, we remain in the background, available however if requested. I hope you still appreciated, the large breakfast buffet, the green spaces with corners equipped for sports activities and relaxation, the bar and the patio area, the cleanliness of the rooms, of course if everything is combined with sympathy and courtesy better, I will try to explain it to the collaborators.

  Lovely Riva hotel

  Enjoyed our 3 night stay - large modern rooms, friendly reception staff, and great location.Highlights were the included breakfast and free bike hire, which we made use of.Location is around a 20 minute walk from the ‘centre’ of Riva, but lake front, supermarket and restaurants, all within a 5 minute walk.
