    Lake Garda’s Best Hotel

    The service here was exceptional from the start to the end. The staff could not have been more helpful and the property itself was stunningly beautiful.Our room was perfect, the garden grounds and environs immaculate as was the pool area.I would thoroughly recommend a stay here and will definitely visit again.

    Lovely accommodation with great views

    We stayed a week in one of the apartments with a terrace and view over lake Garda. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable and the staff are super friendly and can’t do enough for you. Lovely infinity pool too.The only downside is that it is about a mile walk into town, it is a very pleasant walk and we didn’t mind, but some people might.Would definitely stay there again.

    Twenty-five years ago, my wife and I were on a honeymoon in the area and discovered the beautiful Sirmione. This year, we decided to take a similar trip, with the second leg on Lake Garda. We looked at several possible locations and finally settled on Desenzano di Garda and the Castello. We loved what we saw on the website, but we have to say the reality far surpasses it. An exceptional location, with uniquely delicate decoration in the apartments, an outdoor pool with stunning views, and a staff that makes the visit very easy. High-quality details. In short, it's a very special place, one we will return to.

    We stayed here in a 2 bedroom apartment for a week. The apartment was great. Very spacious and had stunning views over the lake. It had a lot of amenities in the kitchen but a toaster and kettle would have been handy as there’s nothing nearby without a long walk or a drive to the shops. The location itself is very peaceful with a great outlook over the lake. But it also makes it quite a walk into the town. About 20mins. Going down into town is fine as it’s all down hill but coming back in the heat up several hills is an effort. We did her a taxi one night from the town as it was raining but it cost us €20 for a 4 minute ride. We also went to Sirmione one night and a 6 mile taxi ride cost €60. If you want to get around the only way is by car as taxis are nearly non existent and crazy prices. There are lots of ferries but the last ones do stop early, around 8pm so not easy if you want to eat and drink later in the evening. The pool area is lovely, although the pool was very cold. Not an issue to ever get sun loungers. The hotel grounds are lovely too, very well kept. Plenty of car parking and even an electric charger. The staff are all very, very friendly and super helpful.

    This place is absolutely perfect! We have spent the most idyllic three nights here. The place itself feels so historical yet modern at the same time which gives it a really special feel, there are nods to its history throughout but it has been modernized to such a high standard so it is the perfect combination. The room was so clean and comfy and well equipped and the staff are the nicest and most helpful we have ever experienced. The pool is absolutely gorgeous and the views are incredible. I can't describe our stay as anything other than perfect and my only regret is that we can't stay longer. Thank you Castello Belvedere for the best stay we have had in a place.
