    A lovely hotel situated on Lakeside, but disappointed that there were no facilities to make drinks in our room and when the restaurant closed there was no other way to get any drinks in the hotel Three were bars locally but preferred not to use them

    Really great affordable hotel. Comfy beds and a super breakfast. The location is fantastic.What could be better - tea and coffee in room but I can appreciate that this may increase costs.

    We stayed for three nights and found everybody to be really friendly and our room was very clean. The shower was good with plenty of hot water and beds were comfortable. Excellent location as a base for touring the area and also perfect to be able to walk to find good restaurants and bars in the evenings. We also really appreciated the message before arrival to tell us how to access the hotel parking.

    I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Europa. The room was very well maintained and very clean. The breakfast selection was broader than I've found elsewhere. The hotel has a great location on the main promenade, allowing for an easy walk into the centre of Desenzano or to get to the harbour to catch a ferry to another part of Lake Garda. However, the most impressive aspect of the hotel was the friendliness of the staff. Without exception, every single employee I encountered was very polite, and very helpful. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

    Dont stay half board!

    The hotel is in a great position, directly on the harbour with access to boats and buses. I liked the style of the hotel and found the rooms very comfortable and the reception and cleaning staff were friendly. Breakfast was great. The evening meal was a different story. As a member of a tour party, staying half board we were definitely made to feel second class. We were assigned tables for the whole week. Ours was at the back with a view of beige curtains. When we asked for another table we were told this wasn't possible. The food was sometimes excellent but at other times poor. Once I was served potato and cheese gateaux, a school cook could have made it more tasty, and it was served with more potatoes! Also, when we asked when the bar opened we were told it was for decoration only and hadn't been open for three years!Definitely put me off choosing half board when there were so many excellent restaurants within walking distance.
