    Wonderful hotel

    We have just returned home after spending a wonderful week in this hotel. The hotel is perfectly located at the start of the promenade on the edge of the lake. Beautiful views and a 10 min walk into town and to the ferry. The hotel was comfortable, spotless and had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was great. The bed was comfortable and lovely and cool. We were given a disabled room which wasn’t required but we adapted to. The shower was quite small and the toilet position was high but we got used to it. Breakfast was very relaxed with lots of choice. The pool was very clean with very comfortable loungers and no restrictions on the number of towels you used. Would definitely recommend staying in this hotel and will return.

    A beautiful gem in Desenzano

    We were four friends who stayed 4 nights in Villa Rosa Hotel as a belated 40 years celebration, and we had an amazing time. The hotel is not very big, it's beautifully decorated and the staff were friendly and attentive, especially Francesca and Andrea in reception. They assisted with booking cars and wine tour, and were lovely. The breakfast was plentyfull, and nice touch with the prosecco! The pool area is just the right size, plenty of sun loungers and towels provided. The only negative - which is not the hotel's fault - is the building work going on next door. The drilling sounds were loud, and we all had a sigh of relief when they were done for the day by 1730 ish. The rooms were clean and big, and elegantly decorated. The complimentary toiletries were a bit basic, and I was glad I had my earplugs, as I had a room by the elevator and the sounds of other guests carried. There is also some traffic around the hotel and deliveries happening, but with the earplugs this was not an issue. The beds were very comfortable! This is a very lovely and classy hotel, with the clientelle being mostly couples and families with big children. Desenzano is a lovely base for Lake Garda, it's beautiful and calm, and after a day in the gorgeous but very touristy town of Sirmione, it was a relief to come back to Desenzano.     A very enjoyable five night stay at the Villa Rosa. Well furnished clean room. Of particular note was the friendliness and helpfulness of the hotel team. The only downside to our stay was the adjacent construction site. But no fault of the hotel.     Cleanliness excellent -- Service (including rooms) very good -- only 1 lift for large No' of rooms and broke down on one day -- A building site next to the east side of the hotel meant no rest at all after 07.15Hrs each day!! Dining room -- Breakfasts very good indeed -- evening meals non existent on Sundays and Tuesdays!! the rest of the week daily menu VERY sparse and same all week - A la Carte very expensive and highly contrived -- no wonder you have to offer a 15% discount to attend on 3 days!
