  Perfect location, across the road from the lake, short stroll into the town and close to a grocery store. Staff all polite and welcoming. Room very clean and well-equipped. Air con worked perfectly so although the weather was hot, we could keep cool. Swimming pool was lovely, refreshingly cool and never too crowded. My kids loved spotting wildlife in the gardens.   Had a lovely vacation. Would recommend. My kid loved the kids camp. The location is unbeatable. Rooms are clean and accommodate families. The pools are delightful. Highly recommend the dolce vita package

  We recently stayed at the Du Lac & Du Parc Grand Resort in Riva del Garda for 7 nights with our 6-year-old son, and it truly exceeded all our expectations.Our room was perfect for a family of three, modern, spacious, and incredibly comfortable. The housekeeping team were outstanding and attentive to every detail. For example, we requested a shower mat and it was delivered almost immediately, nothing ever felt like too much trouble.The spa facilities were absolutely beautiful and, even better, never overcrowded. It was such a relaxing space, with welcoming staff who made the experience even more enjoyable.The hotel grounds are stunning, immaculately maintained and ideal for families. The small playground was perfect for our son, and we loved having easy access to the lake just behind the hotel for daily walks. It really added something special to our stay.We stayed on a half-board basis, and the food was a real highlight. Breakfast was a generous buffet with the added bonus of made to order eggs, pancakes, and crêpes. The staff were always warm, friendly, and smiling such a lovely way to start each day.Dinner was our favourite part. Each evening featured a different four-course menu, with beautifully prepared, fresh dishes. The dessert buffet was simply incredible, something we looked forward to every night!What truly made our stay exceptional, though, was the staff. Their attention and friendliness made us feel so welcome throughout. A special thank you to Ernesto, who made our son feel so special every single day at both breakfast and dinner, it meant a lot to us. Nelson and Giorgia also stood out for remembering our preferences, which added such a personal touch to our experience.We couldn’t have asked for a better holiday. We were genuinely sad to leave and would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families looking for a relaxing, high-quality stay.   5-star views, 4-star facilities and 2-star service led to my stay being very disappointing, as the staff and service let it down. From a piece of plastic being served in my eggs (big enough to choke on), a chipped water glass being ignored (when I’d asked for a replacement – had to get the manager to do it), disinterested staff at the gym/spa (more interested in talking between themselves) and room service food turning up with half the ingredients missing (as happened with a Caesar salad – how can you butcher a Caesar salad), and there being no ironing board for guests in rooms. On the later, there are two in a laundry room, one which didn’t work and the other stained my shirt - the response from reception was that I should have ironed it inside out! To their credit, reception cancelled my room service bill to that point (about euro 90) due to the ironing board incident (I’d already had varying standard of food) and said that I shouldn’t hesitate to contact them in future if there were further issues. I subsequently did with regard to half of the ingredients missing in the Caesar salad, but it still ended up on my end of stay bill. Paid it as I couldn’t wait to leave. Never going back. Had a much nicer stay at the Hotel Veronesi La Torre near Verona.   It pains me to write this as this hotel has been our favourite for many years, however, it is now not what it was sadly.The staff in the restaurants, bar and the cleaners are still as lovely and helpful as ever. The grounds are still as beautiful. Unfortunately, the management are not customer focused and many of the female reception staff are the same.The hotel was refurbished 8 or 9 years ago but now needs some more attention ie:I always enjoyed an early swim in the indoor pool to look out the window and feel like I was swimming in nature. However, now, the glass in the windows is heavily limescaled to the point you can't see out clearly and they remained uncleaned with fingerprints all over for the entire 2 weeks of our stay.The exterior pools seriously need updating and the sunbeds at the adult pool can only be described as disgusting - black mould growing all over.The bedrooms are ok but the furniture and floorboards are beginning to look tired.The prices have sky rocketed over the years but sadly the quality has not kept up.
