A Garda Family house was very nice,

    rating11 Jul 2024

This place is incredible! While I found it on Monastary.com it seemed more like a well run hotel. Breakfast was served for two hours in four different rooms! Three of those rooms were for students that came there for events. My bed room was nice and cool and had a beautiful view of the lake Garda from the balcony. They were replacing all of the beds when I was there, even though they didn’t seem bad to me. Everyone was incredibly friendly even with all of these people there were nice quiet places to be had either in the salon or out by the fountain the lake was just across the street I give this a 10 out of 10. Oh, and there were bus stops in either direction steps away.

    Avoid This Place!

    rating29 May 2023

This is barely a 1-star hotel charging 3-star prices. They advertise they have a/c, but if you stay before June 1, they refuse to turn it on, even though temperature was in the 80’s. The WiFi does not work in your room, the beds are torture racks and the breakfast is minimal. Worse, the staff is inhospitable and blasé. There has never been a guest’s concern that they can’t find a way to ignore. Only asset is a nice view. Do yourself a favor. Walk in the lakeside path, sit on a bench to take in the view, and sleep someplace else.

More like a pilgrim house than a hotel

Decent rooms with OK clean beds. Wonderful views. Breakfast - disaster. Service is only OK but we did get rotten bread (it was replaced with fresh).Several restaurants around and those are great. So - good place to sleep only and not for food.

    Always perfect

    rating05 Aug 2019

This is the 4th time we have stayed here and once again it was perfect ,the room is nothing fancy but the balcony lets you veiw the beauty which is Lake Garda ,the staff are friendly even the cleaners have smiles on their faces ,inside the hotel there is a small coffee/bar ,the people who staff it are again so friendly that you feel that you know them so well ,breakfast served in the hotel is just perfect ,plenty of choice and always being topped up ,the nuns that roam the hotel always have a smile and always say hello although in Italian ,we will always go back and may even make the visit once a year because they make you feel so at home.

    Unusual place. But very comfy

    rating02 Jul 2019

Stayed here for 5 nights for a birthday treat for my husband It’s right opposite lake Garda we had a lake view room (306) Magnificent views across the lake Pleasant clean room and clean bathroom nice towels and white sheets bit short on pillows but we managed bed is hard which I do like very quiet Air conditioning that we had on all night was good we also had a tv in our room ( other right ups said there was none ) good free WiFi No kettle in the room. But We actually took our own breakfast is continental with fresh fruit cheese, boiled egg , basic Cereal, Fruit juice and toast We didn’t eat evening meal in the hotel but it is bookable at breakfast should you want it Plenty of restaurants walking distance away I didn’t actually realise until we got here that it’s a retreat and is used by students And that the convent is next door , again it didn’t bother us. On a Sunday the chapel is used for a service And there are people in and out the hotel ( the hotel has its own chapel ) which was beautiful And the bells rang on the hour ( not over night ) in the church next door Again we only used the hotel as a base and it didn’t bother us email communication from home to the the hotel was good All in all it was a lovely comfortable stay with stunning views
