Not a 4* but great holiday!

    rating10 Sept 2025

Not really a 4* in our opinion, as the rooms are in need of updating. That said, the breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice, and the shuttle bus to town was a great idea (1.5 euros per person) since it’s quite a trek to walk every day. Limone itself is stunning, and while the hotel did its job, there were some downsides – no English TV channels and the WiFi was temperamental. Paper cups and stinking kettle was disappointing. Staff helpful to sort out any issues. Overall, fine for a stay, but probably wouldn’t recommend to friends.

    Unforgettable views

    rating10 Aug 2024

After reading some not very good reviews of this hotel, I didn’t go with high hopes but clearly the people who left bad reviews were just overly picky! And you get what you pay for at the end of the day - if you want 5* luxury then book that! But for anyone looking for a genuine review then this ticked a lot of boxes Beautiful view, I paid a little extra for the panoramic view which did mean we were on the top floor but there is a lift, the hotel is on the side of a mountain so there will be a lot of steps and walking so if your mobility is not good then it’s probably not the best place for you. I’d suggest looking for a hotel down by the lake. Beautiful grounds, the orange & lemon trees and flowers make the surroundings of the hotel lovely. We opted for B&B and the breakfast was okay not the best glad we did as there isn’t much within walking distance. We hired a car for our stay and I’m glad we did as we got to see a lot more of Lake Garda than if we had just got an airport transfer. Overall the hotel was clean and tidy and the views really were the show stopper for this trip. My only criticism for the hotel would be the balcony railings, on the first night it was raining which made the slightly slopped balcony tiles wet and slippy, I walked out on to the balcony and slipped over and cut my foot quite deeply on the sharp bottom of the railings and after that I was paranoid about letting my 4 year old son too close, I don’t think he could have fell through but could of got a nasty injury and a baby / toddler probably could have fell through so poor design for a family advertised hotel.

    Hotel San Pietro / Limone

    rating04 Jul 2024

We took the children for 5 nights in June/July 2024. The Hotel is next door to sister hotel, Hotel Christina. The good points: Limone must be the most beautiful town in Lake Garda, so pretty and clean. Amazing views from hotel and balcony, hotel clean and tidy and breakfast was not bad, dinner, not great. 2 smallish outdoor pools and one indoor pool which the kids loved. You can take boat trips from Limone to Riva (top of the lake) and Malcesine (other side of the lake) for a reasonable price. Negative: Rooms are a bit outdated but lots of hot water. The hotel is high up on the hill and the walk back from Limone town is a bit of a killer. There is a hotel minibus service (the lady minibus driver was lovely) but the last bus down to the town is at 7pm and the last bus back is at 7.15pm. Not sure why this is as some other hotels run a late service to and from town. Taxis are not easy to come by so if you are planning on walking back in the evening, put your trainers on! One tip, take a rain coat as the weather is changeable due to its location. Watching the lightening over the lake in the evening was amazing. Limone is a very beautiful town and you won't be disappointed!

    Awful, awful, awful

    rating03 Jun 2024

What an awful hotel. You have to walk through an underground car park to get anywhere. There’s no WiFi - reception told me WiFi is not guaranteed in rooms but it wouldn’t even connect in reception. The restaurant/bar is full of people smoking, so nice to walk through.Menu claims to cater for all tastes but despite booking 10 months ago and confirming a plant based diet, there was nothing for us to eat.Ants in the bedroom. One sachet of instant coffee for two people over 3 nights. This hotel is awful, leaves you feeling angry, upset and helpless.
