    Lovely hotel but would need your own transport to explore !

    Great hotel but location is not great without a car !!!! Hotel is clean and modern , and cannot fault the staff and service , but we were unfortunately let down by hire car service at the airport so this made sightseeing very difficult ! Believe it when you hear , taxi service in Desenzano cannot be relied upon , even with assistance from hotel staff at times !! The walk into Desenzano is pleasant along the lake side promenade but is at least 5kms each way , which is a bit of a trek after a day out or to get to the centre for excursions , train station etc . Taxi journeys , when you can get one , from hotel were about £20 euros one way . This is not a fault of the hotel obviously which was a very pleasant stay , but in hindsight , staying closer to the centre would have suited us much better , and is worth considering if you are relying on public transport .

    This was an excellent choice for my group, with whom we spent a few days enjoying the area. I’ve stayed in many different hotels, and overall this was one of the best experiences. The hotel was clean and had a great atmosphere, the breakfast was excellent, the spa was relaxing, and both pools were very good.The highlight, however, was the service – no matter who I interacted with, everyone was kind and professional.Thank you for a wonderful experience. I will definitely return! :)

    From previous review. We were charged again so now thats two lots of 865.80 euros. At the airport rang reception couldnt pass on to a manager and said will reply in morning. Disgusting.

    We had a very disappointing experience at this hotel during our recent trip. The day before we were due to leave, we were unexpectedly charged an additional €800 !! without any prior warning or explanation. This happened while we were on a trip leaving us unable to properly address the issue until checkout.When we queried this at around 8pm on March 31st, the man at reception was dismissive and rude. He told us this was “standard procedure” and that the money would be returned when we checked out, offering no further clarification. We were exhausted at the time and decided to follow it up in the morning.At checkout, we spoke to the same woman who had checked us in. She initially appeared shocked when we explained the situation, but then claimed the charge reflected the cost of our week’s stay. This made no sense, as we had only provided our card details at check-in for precautionary purposes. We were never informed of any additional charges, nor did we receive a receipt or give authorisation for this payment.She reviewed the records and even questioned how this could have happened, yet we were given no clear explanation as to how our card had been charged without our consent. After speaking to someone in the office, she returned with a printed cancellation document in Italian, which we had to ask her to sign ourselves. We received little to no apology throughout the entire process.In addition to this, the staff were generally unhelpful. The spa facilities were also very inconvenient, only open from 3pm to 8pm, and guests are not allowed to use them after checkout when u have 7 hours to kill. The location is terrible hour walk to desenazano and sirminone. Overall, the lack of transparency, poor communication, and rude service made this a very stressful and frustrating experience. We would not recommend staying here.

    Since greeted by Dali for a late check-in through the remainder of our too short two-night stay, we were treated to incredible warm hospitality. We visited Lake Garda in late March taking advantage of the out of season favorable rates and splurged for the penthouse suite as we had our 21 y.o. son with us and the two-bedroom suite layout was perfect with the enormous private patio overlooking the lake. We even learned a famous F1 driver from the early 2000's stayed in the suite back in about ten years ago. Take advantage of the heated rooftop pool with it's incredible lake vistas and certainly enjoy the inclusive breakfast which is much more than the traditional hotel buffet. The staff make you feel special and are very helpful with local knowledge.
