    Good hotel but not a 4 star experience. Buffet breakfast -good selection and plenty of it. Evening meals were poor with very limited and sometimes strange selections. If you’re a vegetarian, don’t expect anything but salads. Expected more fresh food but some was obviously frozen.     Really lovely hotel

    This hotel and staff are charming, we would definitely stay again but try and get a room on the front. The staff were so helpful and we are both slightly disabled, nothing was too much trouble. The only reason for not 5 stars was the bar closed very early and we wanted a drink in our own bar. Apart from that.     Great location right on the main square. Parking worked out great, easy to find, we provided our license plate number to the hotel and the car was recognized at the gate. We were able to park before checking in. Easy walk to the hotel from the modern garage. The breakfast was also delicious. We also used the free bikes to ride along the waterfront to Torbole in the evening when we arrived. We were very happy with this hotel!     We booked and paid for a stay of three nights at Hotel Portici, but when we arrived, we were informed that they only had a room available for two nights ( caused by mistake in reservation system) and that we would have to move to another hotel for the third night. This caused us a lot of inconvenience and completely ruined the last day of our vacation.The worst part was the attitude of the receptionist, Stefano. He told us that we had to check out at the latest 11:00 and that the check-in at the other hotel would not be until 14:00. We asked him several times to help us, explaining that we had already paid for all three nights, but he was rude, uncompetitive and unhelpful. He pretended to call the other hotel but said there was nothing he could do.In the end, when I tried to solve the stressful situation myself at Hotel Sole, they told me that the room there was actually ready at 10:00 and we could come immediately. Stefan's arrogant behavior completely ruined our day and left us very disappointed with the service at Hotel Portici. I do not recommend this hotel.

    Hotel Portici: best place to stay in Riva del Garda

    Our experience at Hotel Portici was perfect!It really is the best hotel in Riva delGarda! It is just steps from the city center and Lake Garda! We enjoyed being able to walk out of the hotel and be right there close to shops and restaurants and of course Lake Garda! The rooms were very big and had plenty of room for putting clothes and suitcases. We also loved the wellness spa! My husband and I loved the saunas, steam room, hot tub, and salt room.It was a perfect way to unwind after we arrived. Parking was also perfect. We received a pass to park right in front of the hotel tounload our suitcases and then given instructions where to park our car in the garage. The garage is about a block walk and you can reach it underground so you do not have to cross the busy street. You really do not even need to unload in front of the hotel because parking is so close. The breakfast included was wonderful! It had so many options for everybody!The front desk staff was so warm and welcoming! The evenings were so active with people which we love and there was even a musician playing a little concert right outside the hotel. What a beautiful hotel in a beautiful city! The shopping was fantastic. I bought a few leather purses and linen clothes. We would definitely stay here again and also have dinner at Al Volt again which was one of the best meals we have ever had!
