DEL CENTRO STORICO DI SIRMIONE MOLTO DELUDENTE-CIBO TURISTI-NON BUONO

    rating31 May 2026

DEL CENTRO STORICO DI SIRMIONE MOLTO DELUDENTE-CIBO PER I TURISTIHISTORICAL CENTRE SIRMIONE VERY DISAPPOINTING - TOURIST FOOD-NOT GOODAvoid Sirmione Historical Center unless you want to eat in crowded and often uncomfortable seats eating 2nd class fast food mainly churned out for the tourists and be bombarded with with a plethora of ice cream shops on every corner selling average quality ice cream. VERY DISAPPOINTING not portraying the real Italy, not authentic also over use of Aceto Balsamico. Plenty of really good places a ten to thirty minute walk and more away from the center offering good selections of proper Italian food at similar prices prices. Ristorante Pescatore great selection, fish superb and their limoncello is the real McCoy. Ristorante Girasole also very good. If you happen to take the "trenino" up the hill to the top take a walk down the back way and you will road you will come across the Hotel Olivi on the right great view, superb selection of food, same prices as in Center, in a very pleasant and relaxing environment open through out the day. A walk of 40 mins or so takes you right away from the center following the bus route you will come to Colombare and find Ristorante La Foresta one of many eating places which offers good range of good food, Also in this area it is possible to purchase fresh fruit something among other things that they do not have in the Center,

Keep Away If You Want to Enjoy Your Holiday

    rating15 May 2026

Avoid this resort. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the treatment was shocking, and I cannot remember a holiday where I felt less welcome at the place I was paying to stay.Check-in set the tone immediately. No warmth, no welcome, no sense that the staff were pleased to see guests arriving — just a transactional, joyless process delivered by people who acted as though guests were an inconvenience. That attitude then carried through every single department for the entire stay. There was no fun. No conversation. No friendliness. No effort. Nothing. Just a flat, cold, joyless atmosphere from arrival until departure. The restaurant was the worst of it. The restaurant manager in particular was rude, short-tempered, and visibly unable to cope the moment things got even slightly busy. There was no organisation, no flow, no ability to manage a room. Guests were treated as a problem to be processed rather than people to be looked after. The food itself was poor — well below what you would expect for what this place charges — and the service surrounding it made it worse, not better. Asking a simple question was met with irritation. Asking for anything beyond the absolute basics was met with something close to hostility. The pool staff were the same story. Rude, dismissive, and giving the clear impression they would rather guests were not there at all. There was no sense anywhere on the resort of a team that wanted tourism, wanted guests, or had any pride in the place. Across the bar, the restaurant, the pools and the general resort areas, the staff were consistently unhelpful, consistently cold, and consistently inexperienced. They cannot handle groups. They cannot handle pressure. They cannot handle the basics of hospitality. The operational decisions were just as baffling. The on-site supermarket — the supermarket guests rely on — was closed for four hours in the middle of the day. Four hours. At a resort. In the middle of the day. It is the kind of decision that tells you everything about how little thought goes into the guest experience here. The overall impression is of a place that does not want tourists, does not enjoy having guests, and does not know how to run a resort of this size. There is no spark, no hospitality, no service, no atmosphere — nothing that justifies what you pay to be there. Lake Garda is full of resorts that would be delighted to have your business and would treat you accordingly. This is not one of them.Keep your money. Go anywhere else. There are many better places, and you will enjoy your holiday far more for choosing one of them.

    Steer clear of this place.

    rating01 Sept 2025

We arrived here yesterday evening 1/9/25 and it wasn’t long before the issues began, we had to rent bed sheets and towels for the week. Unfortunately we had to use the towels to mop up the bathroom floor because the shower was leaking, the maintenance guy just sealed it 10 hours later. No kettle , no eating bowls, when I asked for these I was told we would get them if they were available but of course they were not and the staff member didn’t bother to inform us. My wife went back and asked about this, she was told this is Italy, you people come here and expect kettles to make tea, we wouldn’t go to your country and expect Moccas. I booked a 4* one bed bungalow and ended up in a damp, dirty, stale smelling leaking bungalow. Any staff members we spoke to are clearly not trained and were openly giggling while talking in my wife’s presence. Neither my wife or I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with people who couldn’t care less, we advise anyone with enough self respect to avoid this place. This is not a 4* experience, I’ve stayed in much better hostels than here.

    Harassed at the pool!

    rating29 Jul 2025

I was being personally harassed and discriminated by the pool staff at the pool. For lying on my stomach with my bikini straps untied. I was told I was harming the children! I will never come back!

    Short stay, long memories

    rating21 May 2025

The entertainment group was one of the best things here at the Garda Village. We had so much fun with them, they kept everyone entertained and included. Such genuine people and they had such fun and interactive activities, every night they had multiple dances and games. They connected the people of other schools and regular visitors, giving us a chance to widen our social life. Loved it💕 Sabina Bortot, Altro at The Garda Village, responded to this review Grazie mille per questa splendida recensione!Alla prossima vacanza...
