  Good views of Lake Garda, though other aspects could be improved

  I'll start with the positives. You get a lovely view of the lake when eating breakfast or just sitting. It is in a relaxed environment with a lovely pool and spa, though it is limited hours open which was a little annoying. Around the hotel, it is quite clean, no litter or anything which shows it is well kept. Another positive is the beds were really comfortable and your bound to get a good nights sleep with it and the service from reception was good, though some receptionists were nice and some were arrogant. Though when you get good receptionists, they give great advice on where to visit and what to do around the towns near Lake Garda. Room cleaning was good as well.Now going onto the negatives. Firtly, it is located on top of a hill, which is a 15 minute steep walk and very tiring. There is no shuttle or buses that go up the hill which is a little annoying. Though since it being there, it is quiet and you can't hear too much noise. My room was a little disappointing, being tourists, the safe key twister was broken so we had to store our passports in a relatives safe in a room next door, not sure what we would do if we didn't come with extended family though. The breakfast is decent, however dinner was a little poor. We were the only ones and it took a long time to come, and the atomosphere during it wasn't the best. Portions were quite small compare to other restaurants in the area, though interior decoration was pleasing.

  Looks good but deceives you.

  Should have taken more notice of the reviews, the setting of the hotel is wonderful, if you have transport that is, lots and lots of steps once you have parked up to the reception, no lifts whatsoever if you have heavy luggage you are in trouble. Room would have been lovely in its heydays, now worn out. Most of the staff need retraining in the art of customer service some including the manager was very sullen and unfriendly. Food was not too bad but very samey. Definitely would not stay here again, very disappointed.

  Buyer Beware! This is one of the worse hotels we have ever stayed in. Don't be fooled by what you see online ore the fake star rating. What you see when you arrive is the complete opposite. Be careful of the manager onsite, Jose Bruno Pinheiro, who's arrogant, spiteful, and non-responsive to issues and acts as if you're requiring too much when pointing out issues. He's a real piece of work and doesn't understand customer service or a quality hotel experience.Below are just some of the issues we encountered:• No Air Conditioning in Common Area Hotel and Poor AC In Rooms (which you cannot adjust)• Poor Cleanliness (Filthy Hotel)• Lack of Paid Food Services and Not provided at All.• Poor Condition of Hotel, It Was Not as Represented in online Advertising• Mold In Hotel Rooms, Bathrooms and Common Areas• Exposed Electrical and Plumbing Throughout Hotel• Sewer Gas coming from Bathroom Plumbing in Hotel Rooms• Broken Plumbing and Electrical Fixtures, Some Held Together with Calk• Broken Beds, Missing Bed Springs and 30-year-old worn out Mattresses in Rooms• Insect Infestation• Bed Bugs• Peeling Paint• Mold Infestation• Pool Was Not Heated as Described and Also Surrounded by Broken Drainage Grates and Furnishings• Food Services Not as Described. Scheduled Breakfast and Dinner Never Changes, and the quality of Food is Terrible• Changed rooms due to broken bed and water heater not working properly and lack of cleanliness. Rooms filled with mold, Peeling Paint, Nasty Flooring, Curtains with Holes from bugs, Dead Bugs Everywhere.

  So much more than a room with a view!

  The stunning view from the terrace in a Lake Garda accommodation brochure is what attracted us to this hotel in the first place. In 2024 was our eighteenth stay at the Park Hotel Ville Montefiori. The staff is friendly, welcoming and attentive. The rooms are well-appointed. Breakfast is simply amazing with the most fabulous selection of delicious and healthy foods. And to enjoy this on the terrace with the equally amazing lake view is simply heaven on earth. Strolling in the magnificent park setting with its cascading, purple bougainvillea branches amidst the luscious scent of masses of jasmine (depending on the season!), swimming in the lovely outdoor and indoor pools, enjoying the sauna, spoiling oneself with some beauty therapy, or enjoying a prosecco on thebalcony or terrace with that stunning view, followed by a fine meal with Italian specialties in the hotel Bistro - this is relaxation for the soul par excellence in an exquisite Italian lake location. Gardone Riviera is also an excellent, "central" location from which to visit the charming and picturesque villages along the lake by boat or ferry. But don't miss taking a pleasant 15-minute stroll from the hotel to the vibrant little village of Gardone Sopra with its cafes, delightful little restaurants as well as places of fascinating cultural and historical interest. Staying at the Park Hotel Ville Montefiori will forever remain with us as one of the most exceptional and memorable experiences in our lives.   We loved everything about this hotel. Old fashioned charm in a truly beautiful location. The staff were very kind and helpful. We particularly liked the evening barman who was so knowledgeable and helpful. The swimming pool was lovely.
