A great option when traveling thru FCO

    rating18 Apr 2026

I was searching for another option before morning FCO flyout and figured this had to be better than the Hilton. We booked taxi rather than shuttle so we could have an 11 minute ride direct to departure area, at a specific time, for two of us that was about double to cost of shuttle (that comes only on the hour). Our rooms were @250 each, they were small, if we came back we would select larger for greater comfort. We did not take advantage of the spa options. We had a apertivo at 6:30 and first dinner reservation at 7. The menu was interesting with some somewhat odd combinations, I dont think it would attract me for more than one night, but the food itself was tasty, and service was outstanding. Breakfast buffet in morning starts at 7:30, so for early flights not so convenient. The room was quiet, AC worked, and for me the shutters kept light out - husband said still too much light for him, he would have rated 4 not 5. No shower enclosure and not a walkin, so not ideal for slow-go travelers, it was fine for me. The property itself is gorgeous, and lots of outdoor seating if weather cooperates. SO many birds! I would return, just for something different.

    dishonest staff, caution

    rating15 Apr 2026

HOTEL THEFT - BEWARE! What we expected to be an incredible experience turned into a very bad one. We went on our honeymoon expecting an unforgettable experience, and it ended up being a terrible one. The room cleaning service stole from us, . The stolen items aren't of great monetary value, but they are of great sentimental value. I understand that they can have dishonest staff, but at the end the Hotel say there wasn't enough evidence after I sent them all the information. I stay in hotels an average of over 100 nights a year, and I'm an honest person. It makes me angry that they're making me feel like I'm trying to lie about this situation. In the end, I hope the hotel and its staff enjoy what they stole, and I advise you all to be very careful.

Beautiful place, eat before you check in!

Beautiful 5 star resort but don’t expect any food between 3pm and 5:30pm, no room service or open restaurant, not really a 5 star experience. Very handy location for the airport in a beautiful setting. At these prices for a suite my expectations were a little higher in terms of actually having food available, so Burger King via Deliveroo it is!

    Slightly off Hotel

    rating31 Oct 2025

This is a review of the hotel not the spa. The hotel experience here is slightly odd. As a guest you are made to feel as an inconvenience to the staff. It is just a room and a key. There were the odd staff members making an effort but the hotel front desk just disdainful to guests. This was in everything but the best example is that at checkout I was asked “how was my stay”. I replied not good as my room was hot and I couldn’t work out how to get the AC to work. The response was that the AC is turned off to the rooms in October due to government rules. OK I accept that, but it would have been nice to have been told at checkin. The response was it wasn’t the hotel’s responsibility to tell me as a guest “I should have known the local rules”. No sorry, it was my fault for not knowing the local “rules”. The reality in October is that you get up every hour at night to open the window to let out the hot stale air and then have to close as it gets noisy and cold. In the morning when we opened the window there were smokers somewhere and the smoke would come into your room. The hotel front desk staff response was shrug their shoulders and go “what are we supposed to do about it”.The restaurant was nice, the rooms clean and when we left the young man took our bags for the shuttle without being asked. It is a 3 star hotel. With an attached Spa.

A quiet airport hotel -- how nice!

    rating15 Oct 2025

I'm somewhat amazed at some of the negative reviews. First, many are about the "spa" and I'm writing about the hotel. Second, some seem to miss the point that this is an (incredibly nice) airport hotel. I've stayed at many airport hotels -- many are noisy (the jets); many are incredibly impersonal; and most have at best mediocre food. This place is quiet -- you don't hear the jets. Yes, an occasional motorcycle buzzes by.It also feels like a hotel you might visit in the hills of Tuscany. It has lawns and the typical fading red paint, etc.. It's the opposite of "corporate." You walk on gravel between the buildings and there's a long driveway to get to the buildings. At the restaurant, I actually heard a sophisticated diner saying something nice about the dinners (which are Italian cuisine). It's not Michelin but it's good. The staff was certainly friendly to me. They checked me in quickly, printed out a document, etc.. I wouldn't describe the restaurant staff as "warm" but they were certainly professional and attentive. The rooms aren't flashy -- this isn't an Aman hotel -- but they have firm beds, a nice tub and a shower, plenty of space, a coffee machine.I checked prices with other airport hotels and skipping over places that were "dives" this place was in the ballpark. It's all of a 10 to 15 minute ride to the airport (there is a shuttle but I think a lot of people pay for the taxi -- get the local taxi at FCO if you're incoming). And yes, there's a pretty large spa with lots of people in hot tubs, the grotto, etc., etc.. I didn't stay here for the spa treatment, but to have a place to stay between flights at FCO.
