  Worst Hotel!!! STAY AT OWN RISK.

  Walls were falling. Mold everywhere. many small bugs walking around. there was a strong fume inside our rome that smelled weird and is probably why they was selling cologne to put in your room in the reception. there was also mold in the shower head which is suprising because i bet it would cost them 10usd to purchase a new one. Instead they wanna let guest bath in mold. They also never cleaned their pool. the sunbeds were yellow and green with mold. We dident try the Resturant but we saw they opened old cans inside. as we also have read in the reviews you can also not choose from a menu you get what they wanna serve you. The pool bar opens also once they "close" their pool. so thats useless.

  Great Location, Shame About the Hotel!

  On the positive side, the hotel is ideally situated where it's a short walk to the beach, shops, a bank, bars & restaurants, etc., and it's a 20 minute walk to the train station into Rome. A few of the staff were helpful and friendly but several have forgotten their customer service training, including how to smile. Check-out is at 10:30 but they have a secure area for storing your luggage if you’re on a later flight.The hotel itself is very rundown and in dire need of refurbishment. Public areas, particularly the lifts, are dirty and quite off-putting. Check-in is supposed to be at 3pm but we had to wait over an hour for our room to be cleaned, as did several other guests. Our room was very basic and outdated. The mirror in our room was so dirty that we couldn't see our reflections properly. We were given 1 small shower gel and 2 rolls of toilet paper for two of us and had to ask for more once they had run out. There was a fridge in our room but it was completely empty without even a complimentary bottle of water! There were no tea / coffee making facilities, no full-length mirror, no table or chairs, no make-up or shaving mirror and no slippers or robes. An iron is available from Reception but there seems to be only 1 in the entire hotel and no iron board! We had a sea view but which was interrupted by several ugly buildings and the net curtains were quite dirty. In the mornings our bedroom floor was littered with flying insects. My wife and I were bitten several times which we suspect occurred in our room. However, the air conditioning worked well which is essential during the summer months. The staff didn't greet us at breakfast or show us where to sit. There was a nice bright area of the restaurant where the tables had menus. We sat here on our first morning and were promptly told that this area was reserved and were ushered into the dingy end of the restaurant which had no windows. The breakfast options were quite limited and there was no fresh fruit. The swimming pool was small and dirt had accumulated at the bottom. It’s not possible to have drinks by the pool or in the outside seating area during the day because the bar doesn't open until the evening!In summary, the only benefit of this hotel is its close proximity to all the local amenities.

  Day trip via train to Ladispoli beautiful black sand beaches. Walked the beach then stopped in at Hotel Villa Margherita, reservation only but kind staff seated us. Each dish was prepared to perfection. Will visit again.

  First of all, we ordered a room for 4 people, but when we arrived we just got a small two-person-room with two extra beds crammed in. Secondly, there were only two plugs that were strong enough to charge things, which was very annoying. We plugged out the prehistorically old TV to get a 3th plug, though that wasn’t very handy. If that wasn’t bad enough for you, believe me it gets worse. Stuff was stolen out of our room while we were in the city. The first thing that disappeared were 3 pairs of new socks. Later a hairbrush and two bottles of parfume were also stolen, and money was stolen from our friends who stayed in another room. Other than that the food wasn’t too good either, the breakfast was decent except for the meat that was moldy. The dinner however wasn’t very successful. The first course was okay, just plain pasta with tomato sauce, the second course was straight up trash. There were no vegetables and the meat was one big pile of oil. We also heard from other guests that they didn’t have access to warm water. There was a swimming pool but I wouldn’t describe it as clean. Safe to say, we don’t recommend you to stay in this hotel.
