It’s clear that the hotel isn’t well maintained.In our first room, we couldn’t close the door and had to wait for hours before we were offered another room.In the next room, the bed linen smelled of a wet dog and we had to have it changed late in the evening.Other negative points:- crumbling walls- worn-out furniture- broken and smelly bath- broken sockets- chaotic breakfast buffet (not clean)The value for money is laughable and you’re just throwing your money down the drain here. I feel sorry for the staff who work here, because the whole hotel is a complete shambles.(In future, I’ll always check hotels on TripAdvisor, as hoteliers can delete negative reviews on other platforms. If I’d seen those reviews there beforehand, I wouldn’t have booked the hotel.)

Beautiful hotel with lots of character. We and our fiends received free upgrades on arrival to rooms which were superb.Breakfast was fantastic, with a huge choice of food available; being replenished constantly too.The staff are exceptional, so friendly and attentive. I left the hotel without my back pack and they could not have done more to help me get it couriered back to the UK: A special shout out to Chaivacci Lorenzo.Thank you

Faded Beauty with Average Service

This is a beautiful hotel from the outside but pretty faded & scruffy on the inside and most of the staff really weren’t particularly helpful. We were given a voucher on checking in which stated that we would receive a free cocktail at the roof top bar. When we went up there we were told that the only free drinks we could choose from were soft drinks or red or white wine, so no cocktails and not even a beer. The room was huge and had a very comfortable bed with nice crisp bedding and air conditioning. It was all clean but the furniture was chipped and shabby and the bathroom had seen better days. We had no idea how to work anything and there was no literature to tell us. We asked at reception and were told “it’s all on the television” - a heads up would have been good!The breakfast was plentiful but the food was of average quality (particularly in comparison with the hotel we’d come from in Florence) and we had plastic plates! That’s not something I expect to see in a 4 star hotel. The lady on the entrance to the dining room was not welcoming at all. A big shout out to theBaracchina Bianca bar though (left out of hotel and about half a kilometre) as it was brilliant!

Okay hotel, not the best I’ve been to or experienced. Front desk people are less than helpful (key wasn’t checked to see if it actually worked before sending me to my room, not letting me know gates at the entrance are closed and I just need to honk to get in - seems little but it would have been nice to know ahead of time), it’s the little things that stand out the most.Room (sea facing with balcony) nice but definitely needs a touch up. Breakfast decent but limited. Staff there was the friendliest I’ve experienced at this location, oh and the nice housekeeper who let me into my room after traveling for almost 24 hours.
