    50th Anniversary Trip

    rating23 Oct 2025

Giacomo, host and owner, greeted us on our arrival from Florence Airport. He helped with our luggage and gave us a tour of his charming B&B, accompanied by a loyal and wonderful dog named Guillermo. The dining area and all rooms are updated and fit the character of this wonderful town. The outdoor patio was the perfect spot for our daily Happy Hours. The oleander flowers on the patio provided a beautiful, serene setting. This B&B is centrally located to shops, restaurants, and historic sites. Giacomo gave us many suggestions for restaurants and local activities. One of our favorites was cycling the wall around this historic town. Giacomo went out of his way to provide a memorable experience for us in this hidden treasure of Lucca. We strongly recommend B&B Corte Toro. A highlight each morning is the freshly baked cake and pastries served in the dining area.

    Even Puccini would approve!

A sweet b&b that combines old world charm with a contemporary upgrade. It's on a quiet street and just a short walk to the piazza where Puccini's house is (now a wonderful museum). I particularly enjoyed the beautiful private balcony overlooking the courtyard and fresh chocolate croissants daily. Will definitely be back.

    Perfect stay!

    rating12 Sept 2024

We have just returned from a 9 night stay at B&B Corte Toro in Lucca. Contact from Giacomo after booking was very good.We had a wonderful time there. Giacomo is an excellent host. The B&B is located in a very convenient location for everything you need in Lucca. It is on a very quiet street. We had a lovely big room; with a big bathroom with a great shower. Everything was very clean and comfortable. There are only three rooms at the B&B and they are well spread out so you hear nothing from the other guests. There are two flights of stairs up to the B&B, but the second one is quite short. I have arthritis and I had no trouble at all with the stairs.Giacomo provides a typical Italian breakfast each morning - and the items on offer change each day which was great as we stayed 9 nights. A lovely selection of assorted pastries; some of which we had never had before. There is a fridge in the breakfast area with cold drinks which can be taken and paid for at check out. This was much appreciated on hot days when we arrived back at the B&B.There is a very nice balcony area where guests can sit outside.Giacomo gave us the opportunity to leave our bags on our last day after check out, as our car to the airport wasn't coming until 18:30 - this was great for us!In conclusion; we had an excellent stay at B&B Corte Toro - we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a visit to Lucca.

    All around excellent!

The B&B is nice, quiet, yet centrally located in Lucca. Upon arrival I was greeted by friendly host Giacomo and his lovely dog Guillermo. (No worries if you're not a dog person. He is very calm and well behaved.) I was shown around the property and to my room. Giacomo also gave me tips and info about the area for exploring and dining. The feel and the decor of the room and the B&B was so lovely and charming. Very comfortable and clean! The breakfast room has beautiful doors that open onto a balcony. What a perfect way to start the day. Guest are also welcome to help themselves to drinks from the fridge which you simply add to your bill at the end of your stay. I will recommend this B&B and will stay again should I visit Lucca another time.
