5 star hotel with great location.

  01 Nov 2025

Beautiful hotel in beautiful forte dei marmi. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Also only negative thing was that the bathtub was way too high to climb into. We went twice to the beach club which we loved. But the food was average.

Grand Hotel Imperiale, Forte dei Marmi

  02 Sept 2025

I’d like to start by noting that the hotel is scheduled for renovations, which is wonderful news. That said, even in its current state, the property still has a lot to offer. At night, the exterior has a magical silhouette, beautifully lit and elegant. The restaurant is outstanding—my sister and I especially loved the breakfast spread, which was fresh, plentiful, and delicious. We were upgraded to a junior suite, which was spacious and comfortable with plenty of room to lounge and unpack. Unfortunately, I struggled with the strong scents used throughout the property. The lobby and hallways carried a heavy fragrance, and inside the room it was overwhelming. I have perfume allergies, so I asked for the perfume sticks and flowers to be removed, but the lingering scent remained strong enough that I had to sleep with a mask on.The first night, our air conditioning wasn’t working. When I asked to switch rooms, I was told the hotel was full, but thankfully the engineering team fixed it by the next day. I didn’t press to move again since I assumed all rooms would carry the same scent. The staff were consistently polite and respectful, though I wish they had been more proactive with information. Forte dei Marmi is a beach town where hotels typically have their own cabanas, yet no one explained where the Grand Imperiale’s were located or that food and towels were available there. My sister and I wandered from one cabana setup to another, being turned away multiple times, before someone finally clarified where we should go. A small detail like this could have saved us a lot of hassle. In the end, we mainly used the hotel as a base to explore nearby towns, since the scent in the room made it difficult for me to spend much time inside. Still, the restaurant was excellent, the staff were kind, and the hotel retains an undeniable charm—one that I hope will shine even brighter after the renovations. Grand Hotel Imperiale Forte dei Marmi, Other at Grand Hotel Imperiale, responded to this review Dear Mrs. Rowena,Thank you for your thoughtful review and for taking the time to share both your kind words and constructive feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you appreciated the elegance of the hotel, the quality of our restaurant, and the comfort of your junior suite. It's wonderful to know that our breakfast and service left a positive impression on you and your sister. At the same time, we're truly sorry for the discomfort caused by the fragrance in the property and the initial air conditioning issue. We understand how challenging this must have been, and your feedback is extremely valuable to us. We’ll be addressing these aspects carefully, especially as we prepare for our upcoming renovations. We also regret the lack of clear communication about our beach services. Usually our staff is very attentive to guests' needs, particularly when it comes to offering guidance on local activities, restaurants, and beach services, and we regret that this was not fully reflected during your stay.Thank you again for your kind words and understanding. We truly hope to welcome you back in the future and offer you a renewed and improved stay.Warm regards, GHI Team

Terrible hotel. Ruined Forte dei Marmi,

TERRIBLE HOTEL. Tiny bathroom no bathtub, tiny shower, tiny sink, inadequate space for clothing. Worst Concierge. No head Concierge. Left hand didn't know what right hand was doing. Never listened to requests. Terrible breakfast buffet. Beach ludicrous prices. This hotel ruined our trip! Alice Antonioli, General Manager at Grand Hotel Imperiale, responded to this review Dear Mrs Scheer,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to read that your experience did not meet your expectations. What saddens us most is knowing how much care and attention our entire team — especially our Concierge staff and the Hotel Manager personally — dedicated to assisting you throughout your stay. Every request you made was met with a sincere effort to accommodate your preferences, including several adjustments that were promptly arranged in direct response to your needs. Our Concierge team is composed of experienced professionals who strive daily to provide attentive, personalized service, and we regret that their efforts were not reflected in your perception. We would also like to clarify that we do indeed have a Head Concierge who remains actively involved in all guest interactions. As for the room and facilities, we understand that preferences may vary, and we always encourage guests to share their specific needs at the time of booking so we can offer the most suitable accommodation. Our breakfast buffet and beach services are regularly appreciated by the majority of our guests, but we are sorry to hear that they did not meet your expectations. We respect your opinion and take your feedback seriously, as it helps us to continually improve. However, we are also confident that our staff did everything possible — and beyond — to make your stay pleasant. We wish you all the best in your future travels and hope you may give us a second chance to change your impression.Kind regards,

  Best Massage In The World

  22 Jun 2025

I never start a hotel review talking about the Spa, but in this case I have to. I have had massages all over the world, but Barbara at Hotel Grande Imperial just topped them all. I would book this Hotel again just for the massage. Now the Hotel. Very classy, elegant hotel where the staff say yes to everything with a smile. It's 200m from the main town area and beach front which is great. My room was amazing, modern Italian chiq. I was pleased from arrival to departure. But a final word for Barbara. Bellissima, grazie. Everything you would want in a 5-star hotel

  27 May 2025

From the minute we arrived we were treated like royalty. The hotel upgrades are gorgeous, the room and bathroom is spacious and well appointed. The breakfast buffet had many delicious choices. The staff was gracious and accommodating. The hotel is centrally located to all the shopping, beaches and restaurants. Having a driver at your disposal was an unexpected perk and we used this service multiple times during our stay. The decor outside the hotel is stunning and we enjoyed cocktails and snacks on the beautiful couches. We had a marvelous dinner at the hotel and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend staying at the Grand Hotel Imperiale.
