    Hotel not for families only - book for long weekend spa stay adults only

    Booked hotel as advertised with a pool and in a nice part of Italy for a 11 night family (3 of us) holiday. Rooms dated, mould in bathroom, beds uncomfortable. Breakfast limited have to pay for extras that normally are included in breakfast (omelette €6 for example).Bar at pool side closes at 8pm. No entertainment or atmosphere at hotel. Do not book for a family holiday. Pool is an indoor sea water pool, with a heated one with jets. Definitely a long weekend spa for adults hotel. Did not eat dinner or lunch as very formal and no atmosphere. Ended up driving to Forte dei Marmi or walking into Cinquale (5 restaurants to choose from). Went to AlpeMare lido beach club each day rather than hotel due no atmosphere.Do not stay in 59B outside door to room when closed cannot open, had to go through patio door and outside area facing street very noisy.     We should have 2 spa treatments, but didn’t get them. We then booked a time slot for the spa from 10-11.45 and when we came down at 10.00 they told us that someone else is using the facilities but that we could get it from 11.00! I don’t recommend this “hotel” Laura Natali, Proprietario at Terme Della Versilia - Hotel Villa Undulna, responded to this review I sincerely apologise.We had a severe inconvenience.I hope you will give us another chance.Again I apologise.

    A Four Star Hotel, in the ‘80s...

    Positives: Front desk staff were helpful. Grounds were immaculate. Swimming pool was excellent. Restaurant staff were good, food was decent. Negatives: hotel room furniture was horrible, needed a total refresh (see picture), bed was uncomfortable. Air conditioning needed to be turned on by front desk but it did not work, at 0130 in the morning I had to go to the front desk to tell them to turn it on again, to which they responded “it is on at 19, I will turn it down to 16”, it cooled slightly but was still very hot. The bathroom needed a refresh as well, the shower glass needed to be replaced. The breakfast was not good, pastries were at least a day old and the choice was bleak. It was rated 4 stars and it’s price did not make this hotel worth a stay, if they renovated the rooms and replaced the furniture I may try this place again as the grounds and outside including the pool were nice and it had a good lunch cation undulna, Proprietario at Terme Della Versilia - Hotel Villa Undulna, responded to this review I thank you very much for your positive comments about the staff, the grounds and the swimming pool.I thank you as well for the negative ones, so that I can apologize for the non-professional behavior regarding air-conditioning: obviously, warmth found us unprepared in May.The week before heating was still on!Regarding the furniture, I find it very sound and I don’t consider appropriate do destroy something which is still functionable.What surprised me are your negative comments on maintenance: we employ two people year-round for continuous maintenance; if you were not happy, it means I have to check better the results of what they are doing.     On a hand distance from the beach! Unique healing thermal water ! Green area! Lots of space! Excellent service! Visit Portofino and Saint Margarita /1.20 minutes away/; Pisa city is 40 minutes away! Friendly staff and excellent food!     we booked this hotel for a small family reunion with a nine months old baby, our room was very spacious, room 102 and was connected with my sister's room so it was easy for us to help each other with the baby. Villa Indulna is a lovely property with easy access to the beach, the grounds are beautiful, the pool is fantastic and there are many treatments to experience in the spaWe ate here almost every meals and they served us great food and if we wanted something special they always accolade usStaff was very attentive professional and they go to of their way to helpI want to thank Antonio who always greeted us with a smile anticipating our needs and worked so hard to make our stay a special oneI cannot wait to come back Laura N, Proprietario at Terme Della Versilia - Hotel Villa Undulna, responded to this review it is such a pleasure to serve people like you.thank you from all of us and a special one from Antonio!!!
