Location

This comfortable beach hotel lies in the centre of Viareggio just 50 m (across the quay) from the nearest inviting sandy beach and turquoise waters. It is just 400 m to links to the public transport network and a diverse selection of shopping venues, restaurants, bars, pubs, cafés and many more nightlife venues to be found in the vicinity (within 1 km of the hotel). Viareggio's picturesque marina as well as various boutiques and jeweller's shops are situated approximately 1 km from the hotel and may easily be reached on foot, by car or by making use of the good-value public transport network. It is just 2 km to the nearest nightclub.

    We stayed at this wonderful hotel for 3 nights, touring the local cities. I have to say, in all my years of travelling around Europe, have I ever witnessed the exceptional levels of service FROM EVERY MEMBER OF THE HOTEL TEAM. From the moment we arrived, the concierge took care of our luggage, the check in team were welcoming and arranged our rooms quickly and the housekeeping team were exceptional. At breakfast the team could not do enough for you. How does this orchestra come together? Of course it’s down to the conductor or in this case the hotel manager Silvia who was not only visible most of the time but also assisting guests. This way she is not only the heartbeat of the hotel but also the ears and eyes on what is happening. This cascades down the hierarchy but also a key part is the way Sylvia recruits. Our heartfelt thanks to Stefano at the front desk - a hotel manager in the making, Michael, Martina, Daria, Eleonora from the front desk. Asia, Claudia, Roberta, Arianna and Girolaro at breakfast plus many more that I did not get a chance to remember their names. I started with people first but the hotel itself has been recently renovated and the rooms are perfect - not the biggest and not the smallest but very comfortable. It would be nice to have tea / coffee facilities in the room and an iron but these were brought up promptly as and when needed. Breakfast was plentiful and of good quality and compromised of hot and cold items. There is also a Michelin restaurant on site.Outside the hotel the beach is a few minutes walk with plenty of restaurants and boutiques and many ice cream parlours!!Highly recommend a May break as I suspect it gets very busy between June - September Look fires dvti coming back.

    Amazing Riveria Experience

    This hotel is fantastic if you're going to Viareggio. Awesome beach and pool across the street, all the waterside shops and restaurants steps away. Very helpful staff, solid breakfast buffet. The location is perfect and could not be improved. You can walk to the train station for a day-trip to Pisa (as we did) or anywhere else. Numerous restaurants, stunning beach and pool club that the hotel can arrange for you a day at a time. Highly, highly recommend if you're looking for an Italian Riviera beach vacation.

    Lovely looking hotel and a very good location. We chose this hotel as it’s a Relais and Chateaux hotel and we have stayed in those before but it appears standards have slipped.When we arrived the reception staff were fantastic, cheerful and very helpful, in fact they were always cheerful and helpful throughout our stay.When we got to our room which was very clean and comfortable it obviously hadn’t been checked as for the 2 of us there was only one bath towel and one pair of slippers. We told reception and this was sorted. There is no bar in the hotel which is a shame but plenty of bars outside the hotel.Reception sorted out a booking for a beach club for us and when we returned at about 3.30 we noticed that there was a room service tray outside the room opposite ours, it was still there when we went outfor dinner in the evening and yes you guessed it was still there later that night when we returned. I find it hard to believe that the turn down service had been round and not seen or moved the tray. Unfortunately it was still there when we went for breakfast in the morning. We only ate breakfast in the hotel which was nothing special but at least my intolerances were well catered for.

    The restaurant was really bad, arrogant staff and hopeless breakfast. Very unwelcoming and stiff. Rooms are like a university dorm.

    Horrible stay. Staff sent us on a wild goose chase - the wrong direction to our reserved restaurant . We completely missed our reservation thanks to them. When confronted - they outright lied though we had the handwritten map given to us. Complaining to the manager- he said it was no big deal.
