    Charming and great value

    rating25 Aug 2026

We have just returned from a lovely short break here while attending a wedding in the area. Room was air conditioned with balcony enjoying a view over the lake. Comfiest bed and pillows we’ve had in a hotel in a long time, although we were woken one morning by the bins being emptied and another by a guest’s dog - not really the hotel’s fault though. There’s a lovely pool area to the rear and shaded tables for lunch or dinner to the front - great value daily changing set menu served at both. Parking is limited and a squeeze, but there’s another car park yards away along the same road. 3 EV chargers at the hotel - not sure if they still worked - but I noticed municipal car parks (inc the one referenced above) had fast chargers, and a bank of rapid chargers looked like they were being readied for use opposite the mini market in the village. Safest way to walk there is to turn left out of the hotel and take the second left. Interesting largey continental breakfast- particularly the sweet offerings. The manager speaks good English and has a good sense of humour.

    Unhealthy and poor hygiene

    rating07 Jul 2025

Poor needs undated urgently. The electric chargers for car not work no safe in room shower so small you can't get in it. Flys all over the food. Staff can't even pour a drink. We both had bad stomach's after eating in the restaurant. I wouldn't recommend any of it stay away.

    Great Value, Lovely Feel

    rating15 May 2025

Only stayed one night but was really impressed. The hotel is very well run and in a great location. I loved the pool, jacuzzi, and generous breakfast. Staff were friendly and attentive. As someone who watches prices, I found the value for money exceptional. Came by bus from Switzerland—an easy trip with stunning views of Lago Maggiore. Highly recommend!

We stayed for just one night but would have stayed longer if we were not flying back the next day !! Lovely quiet quaint place. Nice garden and pool. Lovely bedroom with very lovely brand new modern bathroom with a fantastic spa shower !!! Lovely owners. Nothing too much trouble. We will definitely be going back !!!

    Quaint with lovely garden

    rating19 May 2017

Stayed one night with breakfast. A large room with double bed and two singles, tea/coffee making facilities and bathroom. Views on two sides of the garden and town, hills behind, a train comes by surprisingly close but not very often.Room and bathroom clean and comfortable, no luxuries.Breakfast plentiful with many pastries and boil your own eggs available.Service a bit haphazard - both on phone to reserve and in person - but perfectly friendly. Good that we had an Italian speaker with us.Five minutes walk from railway station and from boardwalk, lake and restaurants. Fifteen minutes to the ferry station
