    Worst hotel ever. Big scam

    rating19 Jun 2022

I usually don’t do reviews but this place deserve a review. This place is really disgusting, smelly, mold all over the place and black spots in the bathroom. Pictures showed on the website are not accurate, the place looks nothing at all with the pictures on the website. Mattress with stains and bugs. Bathroom with mold. Multiples charges on my credit card .Pool with mold and broken parts and all place is super dirty. Room smelling so so bad. I couldn’t even take a shower in the room because it was so disgusting into a new whole level. Place looks more like a motel. We tried to leave but we couldn’t find nothing available. Also is in the middle of nowhere.

    I will not return here

    rating05 Aug 2018

This is one of the worst hotels that i have stayed in. I regret not looking up the hotel on Tripadvisor prior to staying. The hotel does not have Wifi available inside the guest rooms, the TV is tiny and a large number of the channels did not work, the room is of a low standard and requires decorating, the phone inside the room did not work, the hotel stated that they did not have an iron for my clothes, the restaurant is of poor quality and only offers a set menu with two items for each course, the outside of the hotel is dilapidated, breakfast only starts service at 08.30, the air conditioning did not work inside my room and ust circulated warm air and the hotel requires a thorough cleaning.I would never return to this hotel and advise anyone else to avoid this poor excuse for a hotel. I do not like to whinge, however i cannot stress how bad this place is.

    Not good

    rating18 Jun 2018

The hotel is in the middle of nowhere – not close to any restaurant or cafeteria. Hart to find there are no marking…We stayed (as a group of 30 people) there for 1 night by the end of may 2018.The food (we had breakfast and dinner) was a disaster and a catastrophe. And this should be Italy? Rooms are big but smelly (dampness). The stuff was friendly but it is not helping when you are stucked with bad food and smelly rooms, kilometres away from anything. My advice to travellers: Try to find a hotel which is closer to Boromei islands, they are many and much better.

    never forget

    rating18 Jun 2017

I stay in this hotel for 1 night and trust me that I can't realised what happened! My key will open other doors, my room is 139 and with my key my friends opened their rooms! Finally, I had a "key pass" like housekeeper! It's absurd! The restaurant is not good, meat dry and very small! Any facilities! The credit card doesn't work but in other reviews people write that it does not work from 2016! I can't believe it! The hall was dirty and dusty and a bad smell like TRASH on elevator is terrible!! I think that I can't tell other words for explain my day!My God

Unpleasant experience at the hammam, horrible customer care

    rating18 Feb 2017

Very rarely I give a bad review, it takes a lot in order for me to dislike a place but the experience we had at the hotel Valgrande was absolutely appalling. We called in December to book the hammam as our friend was going to get married soon and we wanted to spend a nice day in the hotel spa. At no point we were told the hotel was closed during the winter months, the receptionist took our reservation happily and we paid half of the requested price (40 euros each, we were ten) in advance. Once we arrived there we noticed the hotel was extremely cold and we discovered that the structure was closed. If we would have known in advance we would have booked elsewhere. We were taken to the changing room, where we were told we would have been the only guests: this was cold, and badly lit, the lockers were all closed and we had to leave all our belongings on the floor. Not wanting to spoil the day for our friend, we decided not to comment at that point. The lady who showed us the hammam came there wearing a sweather and a hot scarf (while all of us were in bikinis...), and once we entered the hammam we were freezing! The thermostat stated 17 degrees Celsius in the "relax area", we asked her multiple times if it was possible to raise the temperature and we were answered she would try. She then proceed to show us the two hot rooms (at least those were working) and the hydro pool, that was filled with freezing water: she recommended to stay there 2 minutes and, for those of us who couldn't enter because the water was too cold, she would have performed a hand massage. We then spent the rest of the time only in the two hot rooms as the relaxing area and hydro pool were off limits because of the cold. She performed gommage on all of us, while we were lying on a wet and cold table (horrible considering the cold water under us and the fact she used the same glove for all of us...), another unpleasant experience. Once we couldn't resist any longer, we sent our soon to be married friend away and we went to complain to the receptionist. This was not the service that had been promised to us and definitely was not a relaxing and pleasant experience. She told us she was sorry we felt that way, that she personally opened the hammam that morning for us (probably it needed a couple of days to warm up in my opinion) and that was the package they offer all of their guests. It needs to be said that a few of us had already used their hammam before, and it had never been cold, including the pool where usually people can stay there more than a couple of minutes. When we told her that the other employee was also wearing winter clothes in the hammam because of the temperature she could only keep repeating that she was sorry but there was nothing she was able to do for us. After complaining with her for half an hour, and not being able to come to a solution, we asked to pay by card, at which point she told us this was not possible as the structure was closed and only cash payments were accepted. Considering that if a structure is closed for business it shouldn't accept bookings and take payments, we asked her either to switch the pos on or to contact a manager. She declined multiple times to do either, and only after further complaining and the possibility for us to call the "guardia di finanza" (police), she called one of the managers of the hotel. This person also refused to understand the package they offered us was not up to the standards promised. At that point we were arguing for an hour and a half and we were risking to lose our reservation for dinner, so we agreed to pay less than what was expected just to be able to conclude our celebration day. Would have not been our friend day we would have called police to solve the matter. So not only the spa day was awful, the people working there and managing the hotel were totally unfriendly and not professional and it was very difficult to deal with them. Please avoid this structure unless you want bad customer care and a poor experience. I used to have my in laws sleeping there when they were visiting us but this is not worth it. There are many spas and thermal structures in the area that deliver a far better service. They thought they were having to deal with a bunch of stupid girls instead they found they were dealing with 10 local women who will do everything they can not to recommend this place.
