  An amazing experience in Matera!

  This resort is stunningly beautiful. As you near the hotel you will be wondering if booking it was a mistake, as all the surroundings are so modern. Matera is built into the hillside so as you approach the hotel from the top plaza, it reveals its true stunning beauty. We stayed in a Jr Suite with pool (think massive jet tub) that is carved into the rock. The bathrooms truly are spa like, and are absolutely huge, with dual showers. The rooms and property are spotless….cleanest I have seen in my travels throughout Italy. There are robes and slipper provided and the bed and pillows were extremely luxurious which provided us with amazing nights sleeps.The rooftop restaurant offers stunning views and a wide assortment of options. The meal we had was excellent. Breakfast is literally in a cave and they cater to pretty much anything you desire. The staff and service overall was top notch, and provided the level of service you would expect from a resort of this calibre.Overall this was one of the most unique hotel experiences we have ever had. The BV Quarry Resort will not disappoint!

  The first thing I have to mention is that thankfully the staff assists you with your luggage even at 6:15 am! Matera is a series of ups and downs and being high up near the Duomo affords you breathtaking views from the bar and terrace. The room was nice, clean but was not the show stopper. The restaurant and bar staffs were wonderful, the front desk, while very helpful, did not exude that warm feeling that the wait staff did. Overall a great stay and if in Matera again we would definitely return to the quarry.

  This hotel is absolutely beautiful. The whole of Matera is beautiful. This was a last-minute booking and I’m so happy I did. The rooms are gorgeous. They’re built into the caves. The food restaurant is so good ! Unfortunately I didn’t have a lot of time ! But can’t wait to return the staff is wonderful and loved that when filming James Bond no time to die they stayed in the hotel ! How cool is that ! They show you Daniel Craig’s letters and the map of the movie !   A beautiful room with views on two sides. Staff were helpful and friendly especially Antonio at the front desk. Our tour guide, booked privately, never arrived but Antonio saved the day! He gave us a map and a full run down of what we should see. And a bit of history too.   Excellent stay in a great position near the highest point of matera so views are fantastic . The rooms are excellent and they are cleaned to perfection . Breakfast is excellent as well . There is a roof terrace which unfortunately since it was windy we could not do dinner but it is fantastic with best views and the staff are outstanding so all up very good stay Quarry SRL, Proprietario at BV Quarry Matera Hotel, responded to this review Dear JGLE4 , Thank you for your feedback 10!
