Location

This conference hotel is situated around 10 km from the centre of Milan, a city of wealth and the heartland of the Italian economy. This hotel is situated in a strategic location just 10 km from Piazza del Duomo and 8 km from the Montenapoleone shopping area. Guests will find a wide range of restaurants, bars, pubs, clubs and shops in the centre of Milan. It is an ideal place to enjoy the advantages of a city without having to suffer rush hour traffic jams. Linate International Airport is around 7 km from the hotel.

Facility

The hotel has 5 lifts and features 436 non-smoking rooms, including 28 single rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions.     Would never recommend this hotel. Seriously consider options

    I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience with Crowne Plaza Milan Linate has been extremely disappointing — not just during my stay, but more importantly in how the issue has been handled afterwards.Due to the sensitivity of the matter I will not provide details, albeit to say, the hotel has not actioned after providing proof (even through IHG group) of the serious matter.I raised a complaint and made multiple attempts to resolve this through both the hotel and IHG directly. Despite this, I have received no meaningful response, no follow-up calls as promised - and I have called multiple times, and through IHG, and no resolution.What is most concerning is not just the original issue, but the complete lack of accountability and communication afterwards. For a brand operating under IHG, I expected a far higher standard of customer care.I would strongly encourage senior management at both companies to review how customer complaints are handled, as this experience has significantly impacted my confidence in both this property and the wider brand.As this was a business trip and the complaint has impacted me, I hope this review helps other leaders to review where they stay.     Taxi distance to Linate - Nice restaurant Il Giardino

    The Crowne Plaza Linate actually is located in the San Donato area, not next door to Linate airport but 10 minutes and 20 euros by taxi. Taxi works very well at Linate. The renovated “superior” room was pretty good, although the aircon clearly struggled to bring the temperature below 20 degrees centigrade. Nice that there was a kettle to make coffee and tea. Dinner in hotel restaurant Il Giardino surprisingly good. Breakfast also fine.

    When we arrived we found free parking which is safe with a porter/security man outside who is very friendly and kind, we then found the Receptionist Belen to be excellent and very welcoming. Belen did a very good Diamond welcome for my IHG Membership which was really welcome.The room was superb, when entering the floor 11 I noticed they had a busy night the night before. It looks like some guests enjoyed themselves a bit much and I feel bad for the work the house keepers have to do, never the less - the house keeping team were smiling and said Hello and were very kind - I said I respect the work they do and can see how hard they are working - team work is key here - very spirit to serve and I hope the General Manager takes note of the hard work the house keeping put in. They all deserve a pat on the back and a thank you commendation.My room 1130 (easy to remember like a time of the day) was very welcome and it had a bath which was nice for a change after a long day.Magdelina the cleaner is the hardest worker of them all - I really noticed the efforts she was putting in even going outside when it was freezing to tidy up. Such a good worker also a lovely kind and nice person. We had a lovely chat she is very guest focussed. Magdelina has excellent guest rapport (the morning cleaner downstairs she is very proud of her work and is proud of the Hotel). If I was GM I would make her a great Ambassador for the Hotel.The security man / porter outside is very friendly and noticed he actually acts as an Information Desk as well, many guests going to him for help and assistance. He has answers to all their questions. Effectively an outside Front Desk / Security Team. He also has great guest rapport.The evening canapes and drinks were very welcome thank you. This is a good way to do it I noticed some Crowne Plaza's (in Spain) get it wrong and provide a very limited canape selection in their executive lounge, here you are doing it perfectly so as not to have to take everything to an executive lounge you have everything at the bar. The friendly barman made us an amazing Aperol Spritz and the hot and cold snacks were delicious. Thank you to the Chef.The breakfast team are hard working. Cecia (on the breakfast desk) I hope I got her name right she is fantastic, very kind and friendly. The breakfast is very tasty. I loved the little cakes with the tiny strawberries pointing up like Spikes. They were fun to eat.I noticed a very busy international crowd at breakfast buzzing away, great to see people from all around the world enjoying their stay at the Hotel.I noticed Olympians, Captain Pilots, Police Officers, everyone was here, amazing and the Hotel was still coping and providing excellent service.The lady GM should be very proud - this is what we call direct impact in the industry and I will be feeding this back to Head Office. I would go as far to say you are a flagship hotel running a tight ship with some excellent staff. I will be very happy for you to print out this review and read it out in the next 10 at 10 meeting with your team leaders and excellent staff.I actually went around spotting all your hard working staff and noting their names, having a little kind chat with each one - very interesting they were all marvellous. Just so you know I am normally the one to complain or find at least something, not here! I have even put some Chefs on cleaning duty for 2 weeks at one hotel in the USA! Here in Milan I actually found nothing to complain about (and I did look everywhere even the fire escapes). All clean and safe.Thank you from a Diamond Loyalty Member. I can highly recommend this Hotel.Now I would like you all to applaud yourselves in the meeting room - clap loudly you all deserve it. Excellent team work. Grazie Mille

    Ok for Transit but no Shuttle Service

    I booked three rooms for my family and a Italian friend via my IHG App This week and and writing this review based on my wife’s experience as a guest and mine as a the booker and host Booking was not 100% satisfactory I tried to book two rooms one for three people and was instructed there was no availability. One arrival all of our three rooms had a extra bed which would have allowed me to book two rooms As I was remotely booking I tried to ensure that I had paid in full and requested by phone ( On my third attempt) to make a small deposit and receive a remote authentication for by email However my wife and our party were still asked for payment on arrival on the insistence of the receptionist who refused to acknowledge by authorization Are a while and my involvement the keys where given to my party Online the hotel publicized a shuttle service to the airport but on arrival we were informed that this service was no longer available My Wife and our family and friend all enjoyed burgers and chips in the Bar Regarding the accommodation my wife stated “ The rooms were comfortable but dusty in places “I understand this is a hotel the travelers in transit to Linata but feel that things could have been better with some communication?     Not the usual Crowne Plaza standard

    We have stayed in many Crowne Plaza hotels in our walk around the world such in the States, Europe and Asia. But this hotel is unlike the usual Crowne Plaza we have associated with and quite of a let down though look new and "grand" from the outside.The hotel has a nice and big lobby with a bar and restaurant located just next to the lobby with five lifts. Our room was 1204.The room size was ok, though smaller than other Crowne Plaza ones. The room had poor lightings so quite dark. Beds were overall comfortable, with a minibar, free bottles of mineral bottles. And aircon was not from the top or wall, but emitted from the table!Now the downsides. First, the TV could not be turned on with the remote or on set switch. That's strange, although watching TV is not important to us (we didnt feedback to the reception), sometimes its good to catch some breaking news. Then the next day, we heard from our tourmates that their rooms' TVs either could not be turned on like ours or missing the remote control! Luckily we only stayed there for one night!Next, there's no usb cable charging wall socket! If you tell me its an old hotel, like the one we stayed in Switzerland, then thats fine. But this is a modern and new hotel, there's no usb cable socket! What a shame! Then we went to the reception wanting to borrow or rent, and was told they had none available! (either they really didn't have or would have lent out all available adapters)Breakfast wise. The cafe is spacious, bright and nice and must commend that the spread was reasonably wide and food were generally nice and yummy. Service staff were friendly too.Would say it's of much lower standard of the usual Crowne Plaza we know of!
