    Fantastic hotel

    rating18 Feb 2026

Loved this hotel and a great location in close proximity to the city center by Metro. Perfect in every way – a 10-star for us! Beautifully appointed room and bathroom – pristine and décor looked brand new. Very quiet which is always appreciated. Very impressed with the entire staff –friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to assist in any way. We were always greeted with a friendly smile from Rocco as we returned each evening from the Olympic arena. He gave us a great restaurant recommendation and when I was unable to reach another hotel to cancel a reservation, he made the call for me. Francisca was wonderful as well and provided breakfast on the run one morning when we were literally running out the door to catch the Metro. Thoroughly impressed from the moment we checked in to checking out. A jewel of a hotel – absolutely delighted with our stay at H2C Hotel Milanofiori and wouldn’t hesitate to book here again!

Beautiful modern hotel. Great location. Close to train station and malls. Lots of takeaway options close by. Breakfast is great, gluten free options available.

    Safety risk and bad service

    rating02 Apr 2025

We stayed at this hotel for one night from March 26th to 27th. The hotel and our room were nice and clean. From the beginning, the staff was not particularly friendly or informative, but we didn’t really mind. The hotel's location was great for our one-night stay since we were attending a concert at the Unipol Forum. The room itself was very nice and clean. Overall, I would have been satisfied with our stay if not for the incident that occurred and how it was handled by the staff.I typically never write reviews and usually don’t mind if everything isn’t perfect, but I was extremely disappointed by the way the staff handled the situation. The IncidentThe reason for this bad review is the horrible experience we had during the night.A few minutes after 2 AM, while my friend and I were sleeping, we were suddenly awakened by loud noises—someone was entering our room. Both of us immediately woke up, and when I stood up, I saw a man inside our room. He saw me, quickly ran out, and then returned moments later, unlocking our door with his key again. I was in shock. I tested our own room key and told him this was our room. He apologized and left.A moment later, I realized he had walked even further into our room and had forgotten his phone inside. I called after him and gave it back. Then he finally left for good. He seemed confused, and we assumed he was another guest. We were horrified and scared to go back to sleep. About ten minutes later, the reception desk called to ask if we were okay and said it had been a mistake. We told them we were fine and tried to go back to sleep. The Next DayThe next morning, we realized that the most likely explanation was that the guest had forgotten his room number and mistakenly told the receptionist our room number. As a result, the receptionist must have given him a key to our room. We weren’t exactly angry, but we felt it was important to mention this when checking out. When we checked out and told the receptionist about what had happened, she told us there was no record of the incident in their system. In other words, the night shift receptionist had not logged what had happened. So, my friend and I explained again that a man had entered our room in the middle of the night using a key made by the reception. At first, the receptionist seemed not to believe us. Then she started explaining that "sometimes these kinds of mistakes can happen." We understood that mistakes happen, but this was a serious safety issue. It felt like we had to convince her of what had happened, and all she said in response was "okay, sorry." She explained that they assumed the guest had simply forgotten his room number, and the night receptionist had created a key for him without verifying his identity. We requested a partial refund due to this mistake, especially since the staff had not even checked the guest’s name before giving him access to our room. However, the receptionist told us they could not issue refunds and that we would have to contact Booking.com. We accepted this answer and left, but the whole situation left a bad taste in our mouths. It was clear that the staff did not want to take any accountability for their mistake. After Our StayFor me, the worst part of this experience was how unprofessional and reckless the night staff was. They did not verify the guest’s identity before issuing a key to our room. It felt like they could have given access to our room to anyone who simply stated our room number. It has now been a week since our stay, and we have been trying to get some form of compensation. We contacted Booking.com, which reached out to the hotel regarding our complaint. However, Booking.com informed us that the hotel denied the incident ever happened and claimed that we never reported it to them. In other words, they lied.Perhaps this is how they handle situations like this, but this was a serious safety issue that could have led to a dangerous situation. The hotel still refuses to take responsibility, and despite our attempts to contact them directly, they have not responded to the issue yet. This is why I decided to write this review.I do not recommend this hotel. The staff was unprofessional, unfriendly, and provided poor service.

    Racial discrimination in hotels

    rating23 Sept 2024

The service at the front desk was terrible. I was racially discriminated against. There was a dark-skinned guy with long afro hair who was very rude.My friend and I checked in at the same time. We used the same Swiss ID, and he insisted on seeing my passport, I think because I am Asian. I asked him in Italian, 'Do you speak English My Italian is not very good. 'This person looked away as if I didn't exist and only spoke Italian to my friend (my friend is Swiss Italian). My friend explained that we used the same ID. Swiss ID cards are valid throughout Europe. Then this person insisted on showing me my driver's license. I gave him my driver's license and he was relieved. Fortunately, I have a driver's license, otherwise people who don't drive can't stay. Then this person gave us the lowest floor-a disabled room. But my friend and I are not disabled. There is not even a shower curtain in the bathroom. After taking a shower, all the clothes placed next to it were soaked.Very disappointed, will never come to this hotel again.

    A basic hotel

    rating27 Nov 2023

A basic hotel with no frills despite its supposed 4-star rating.Firstly, it is very difficult to find if arriving via Assago Milanofiori Nord station. There are no signs and the mapper apps try to direct you via roads and roundabouts that don’t seem to exist given that you arrive above ground level and a multi-storey car park. The reality is that you should just keep walking through the pedestrianised mall of (mostly closed) shops and you will eventually find the hotel.Check-in time is 14.00. The receptionists were actively answering the phones while checking customers in which, in plain terms, is just rude. The room was very dark and basic. It featured a large wardrobe with safe, a large bathroom with shower, and plenty of storage with a mini-bar you can use as a fridge for anything else you buy. I was given a room with two single beds despite booking a double room on booking.comWhen I arrived, the room was very warm and, despite trying to use the wall-mounted console to lower the temperature, it would not seem to work. I called reception and they told me that there was no cold air throughout the hotel and that, if I was warm, I could open the window. Thankfully, it was freezing cold outside and the window opened widely, so the temperature dropped quickly. There are no irons or ironing boards available. I had already read about this from prior reviews so brought a travel iron with me but, nevertheless, a bizarre decision for a hotel to take. I have literally never stayed in another hotel that wouldn’t at least provide an iron upon request.Access to the Mediolanum Forum is similarly not signposted well. Upon exiting the hotel, you cross ahead towards the gym, then turn left and go down a large ramp with a McDonald’s at the bottom. Turn left at the McDonal’s and use the pedestrian crossings to get to a retail park with a long row of shops and use the walkway to head towards the NH Congress Hotel. Once there, turn right and walk up a staircase to a covered walkway leading across the Assago Milanofiori Forum station and the Forum building itself. It was a good 15-20 minute walk door-to-door.There was a good £130 difference between the price of the NH Congress and the H2C Hotel when I stayed here. It is ultimately up to you to decide whether or not you consider the above to be worth the saving.
