Porta Romana perfect location from which to explore Milan

In a very convenient location. Close to central Milan (20 minute walk), tram (to Duomo), metro (Stazione Centrale). The hotel is in a residential zone and is a conversion on the 6th floor (with lift) so that the rooms are small. Nearby there are many bars and restaurants (some very good Don Juan, Argentinian steakhouse). It is kept clean and the staff are friendly and helpful (24 hour service). Breakfast can be requested but there are many options available in viale Sabotino or corso Lodi. The bathroom (shower only) and bedroom are small but has TV and it is very quiet at night. Difficult to find for the first time late at night (unless by taxi) and do not confuse with Hotel di Porta Romana.

I've been there for one night beginning October and heating of the room was off. It was very cold in the room, so I asked to switch on the inverter of the air conditioning, to get hot air. Again, it was not working.No bidet in the toilet, which wasn't highlighted in the details of the room.The Hotel is at the 6.floor of a big building, with a very small and unconfortable elevator with even just one bag.No discount of 15% was applied, as all other Italian hotels spontaneously do, for all clinic Covid-19 working staff.No decaf coffee at breakfast (by the way, not included).I wouldn't suggest the hotel for a confortable staying.

Quite, in the centre, with magnificent view of the medieval walls. Personnel very professional and kind-I appreciated my room. I reached the hotel late in the evening but I found all the same professional personnel and very warm welcome,

The worst stay in hotel ever

The worst stay ever we experienced in the hotel even though travelling really a lot. The hotel is overranked, it does not deserve even one star, not 3 as stated. The rooms are small, dirty, it was cold there, no blankets, staff does not speak English. We had to leave hotel into another after the first night and staff was so rude to us, refused to give back money for nights not spent in the hotel and breakfasts not eaten. It was the worst experience ever, don´t risk your stay in nice city by booking this awful place. We are raising complaints further to Italian authorities to re-rank the hotel and check the hygiene status there as it seems dangerous.

Friendly and helpful personnel. Single room was small and a little worn out, but was clean and had basic necessities and a well working air conditioning. A blanket would have been welcome, as there was only a sheet on the bed. Location is good, very close to the Subway and a super market, and in a lively neighborhood.
