  GREAT value with free parking, good location and great breakfast

  This hotel is SUCH a great value, why would you stay anyplace else in Modena. It's a short walk to the main area which is quite nice. Very helpful staff, excellent breakfast.Forget a glass of wine at the bar, though. Coke and beer probably all that's good there.

  Lovely Modern Hotel with a Charm

  I used this hotel for my trip to Bologna, actually, because the prices in Bologna were ridiculous! And it was a good decision indeed. I decided to see more of Modena and then next morning took a train to Bologna. Estense Hotel has a perfect location just in the edge of historic centre, 4 min.from bus station (I took a direct bus from Bologna Airport) and ab.15 min.walk from Train Station. Also perfectly walkable to historic centre and all this area. Modena is lovely city, not so cramped with the tourists, only locals wandering around which was very refreshing. I took a guided tour which I also recommend if you want to know more about Modena.Hotel bedroom was convenient, bathroom amazing, I had a very good sleep though I could hear guest coughing from above, but it didnt put me off. Breakfast fantastic, full of fresh produce, all what you wish for, fresh fruits full of flavour, yummi. Staff also very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend to stay.And I also recommend to use the independent Persian restaurant located on upperground floor, food incredibly tasty and this is probably best restaurant in close surroundings.

  Comfortable stay in Modena

  Hotel Estense is located in the heart of Modena town walking distance from the Duomo and central shopping area. The rooms were comfortable albeit small, and basic amenities such as hot water and a kettle were provided. Breakfast was wholesome and tasty, and the staff was courteous. Would recommend this place for a comfortable stay in Modena.

  Good location, about 10 min walk from railway station and 5 min walk to center many restaurants, museums and attrations.Basic accomodation, clean. Helpful staff. Good breakfast included in room rate.Would recommend for sure.

  Conveniently located close to the train station & city centre. Unfortunately these are the only good point. Beds & pillows terrible, shower flooded & no blockout curtains in bathroom. Windows leaked water when rained. Very disappointed.
