    One of the worst hotel experiences: rude staff, poor cleanliness, bad food, and weak Wi-Fi.

    We stayed at this hotel as part of a Cinque Terre tour, and unfortunately it was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had.The only positive aspect is the location within a charming town. However, for visitors planning to explore Cinque Terre, the hotel is far from ideal, as it is approximately an hour’s drive from the coast and the main attractions.Everything else was deeply disappointing. The reception staff, particularly one male receptionist, was extremely rude, arrogant, and unhelpful. It is perfectly normal for guests to have requests or questions, but instead of trying to assist, he responded in a dismissive and unpleasant manner that has no place in the hospitality industry.The hotel itself feels very outdated and poorly maintained. The carpets are worn out and clearly overdue for replacement. The rooms were among the worst we encountered during our trip: awkward layouts, old furnishings, and poor cleanliness standards. The overall impression was neglect rather than hospitality.The Wi-Fi was another source of frustration. The connection constantly disconnected, the signal was unreliable, and the login process was unnecessarily complicated. In a hotel that caters to international travelers, basic internet access should not be this difficult.We had half board included (breakfast and dinner), which turned out to be another major disappointment. The food lacked flavor, portions were surprisingly small, and there was very little choice available. To make matters worse, drinks were significantly more expensive than in nearby restaurants and bars.Overall, this hotel offers very poor value for money. Between the unfriendly service, outdated facilities, poor cleanliness, unreliable Wi-Fi, and disappointing food, I cannot recommend staying here. In my opinion, this hotel falls well below the standard one would expect for the price paid, and there are far better accommodation options in the area.

    Other than building work going on during the day. Our complaint was dealt with efficiently by changing our room.     Nice Hotel, Room Very Noisy

    This 4* hotel is very nice and is located in the centre of Montecatini Terme.The hotel is very comfortable and the staff were very friendly.We were on a half-board package with a tour company and the food was good.Our room was located with access to a shared terrace overlooking a bar/restaurant. The terrace is a nice facility to use in the evening. However, the only drawback came from a bar/restaurant located immediately below our room/terrace.The bar/restaurant played loud monotonous music from about 10.30 am to 12.00 midnight every day and it was necessary to close the windows to block out most of the noise, However, on one evening a discotheque was operating from the bar/restaurant and the DJ seemed to believe that he should play music at maximum volume (much louder that any other evening). Even with the windows fully closed it was like having a disco in the room at 11.30pm. This situation was quite intolerable and it was necessary to make a complaint at the Reception Desk. I met another unhappy person while at the Reception who was livid that clients could not sleep at that time of night despite having an early start most mornings when going on tours.It was difficult to fully understand the Receptionist as to what he could do as the bar/restaurant is a separate establishment. He waved a piece of paper at me and mentioned the police but I decided to leave the matter with him to try to resolve.He did not give the impression that he could do anything about the noise.Whether coincidental or not, the disco stopped at 11.40 pm and we could finally get to sleep.I learned from our representative that the hotel is having problems with the Bar/Restaurant.A word of warning: Don't accept a room on the side of the hotel facing towards the Bar/Restaurant unless the noise problem has been fully resolved.We would like to have awarded the hotel a Review of 5/5 but unfortunately, the excessive noise problem only warrants a 4/5 Review.     Pleasant centrally located hotel.

    Pleasant hotel, helpful staff, very good at catering for our gluten and dairy intolerances. Our room overlooked the square, which was noisy some nights if we opened the window. The Montecatini Centro Station is a short walk away, convenient for trips to Florence or Viareggio on the Mediterranean coast.
