    They scammed us!! The night before we were supposed to check in they sent a message saying that there was water damage and they dont have a room. They offered a room in their other B&B but it was not in a good location. We had to book another apartment at 3 in the morning that was more expensive and a few days later they put the full amount on my credit card!! The did not reply to my email or the message I sent on the booking website. I want a refund!!!

    The worst BB I ve ever stayed. There is black mold on the walls. The water lasts 3 minutes. And we lost our train because it took the lady 30 mins to open the door so we could take our loungages. A total disaster.

    Refused to respect a booking made months in advance

    We booked a family room months ago through hostelworld.com and as recently as 3 days ago received a reminder of our confirmation. Upon arrival today a lady on the intercom refused my family entrance saying an email had been sent 20 days ago questioning my credit card. No email was ever received; a deposit was paid to hostelworld.com several months ago; the agreement is that you pay on arrival so there was no need to charge a credit card in advance (which in fact has been working all over Italy). Horrible that the lady would not even allow my kids (aged 7 and up) into the hostel for a bathroom break and some fresh water on a scorching day. We lost our afternoon, had to find another (more expensive) place and then hike there with our bags. No more words for how let down we feel. utentepaganet, Proprietario at Maison du la Rua, responded to this review Dear guest, from the outset we regret what happened but as already explained in person upon arrival, after you have made your reservation, we checked the credit card you issued as a guarantee and it was without credit, which is why which we sent you an email with which we invited you to send us a valid card in order to guarantee your booking.Since you did not send an e-mail to our e-mail, we sent you an e-mail to cancel your booking but this was already about a month before your arrival.Therefore, on our part, we have done nothing but respect the booking guarantee procedures and perhaps it was she who was not careful not to follow up on our communication.For our part, we had no problem confirming the booking if you had sent a valid credit cardwith regardOwner

    We had a very nice stay in this b&b!Indeed, to start the localisation of the place is perfect: close to the beach but still close to the center.. the ferry is like 5 minutes walking so you can go very easily to the beautiful island close to Napoli. Then, the room and the bathroom were very clean, the place is very quiet during the night and the bed was very comfortable . We slept very well! Everything is organized for you need nothing during you’re stay: fridge, towels,good WiFi and more!Stefania the host is very nice, she gave us a lot of very good advice for our trip.. she’s a proper Napoli women! Go there it’s amazing! And enjoy Napoli this amazing and city!!!     Basic, cheap room in a good location

    We stayed here for one night and were quite glad we weren't there any longer. We did not actually meet any of the staff. No one was there to check us in and the room key was left in an envelope on the table inside. When we walked into the building there was a distinct smell of mould which was also present in our room. There was a big patch of mould on the wall by the balcony. Thankfully we were able to open the balcony to let some fresh air in. The room was clean and the bed was ok. The shower is tiny but serves its purpose. Unfortunately we did not get much sleep as someone was standing in the stairs outside our room talking very loudly on the phone for a very long time in the early hours of the morning. I appreciate if this noise was caused by another guest then it is no fault of the B&B. We didn't have breakfast as we left the hotel at 7am so cannot comment that. However, we messaged the hotel staff who kindly booked us a taxi. The best thing about this B&B was the location as it was the location - close to the port and a short walk to the town centre. The room was cheap, so good if you're on a budget but we would not return here. As for the check in, being a small family structure, we can not guarantee our presence for the whole day and in order to give maximum flexibility on the arrival time of our guests, we have adopted the practice of self check in that almost always it is appreciated by all our guests. Regarding the perception of the smell of mold, we have recently repainted the entire structure and probably parts of the walls were still fresh with paint (we regret this happened but then in this period, the climatic conditions did not help the drying of the walls).
