  Fantastic choice when visiting Pompei

  The Pompei Ruins du Charme B&B is a wonderful base from which to explore the Pompei archaeological site as well as the lovely town of Pompei itself. Dino (the owner and host) was charming and helpful, giving us many great suggestions (places to see, restaurants to try, etc.) The proximity to the Anfiteatro entrance makes this B&B an incredibly convenient choice. You WILL be tired after a day spent in the ancient city and being able to walk two minutes to your hotel is a valuable bonus for which you will be grateful. When we (or any of our friends) next visit, we will most certainly choose this fine B&B once again. Grazie mille Dino!

  Turn up on correct day etc at 15:30 The place was shut down,with the buzzer not seemed to be working. So rang the WhatsApp number they provided only to be told “no speak English “and hung up. So we had to find somewhere else. However at 17:30 they rang me saying “the room is ready,where are you” This was from the same number I rang previously. Maybe it was just a misunderstanding, but something wasn’t right

  Fantastic place to stay!

  My husband and I stayed for 4 nights. We had an amazing time!The B&B is lovely, rooms are nice and clean with big comfortable beds.We had a large balcony, the view isn't great but it was sunny and comfortable.The room had a large bed and separate bathroom and shower. It had air-conditioning which was needed!Breakfast was lovely, a warm, freshly cooked croissant with yoghurt and other pastries, juices and hot drinks.You can help yourself to soft drinks, hot drinks and alcoholic drinks. They are all well priced and you just let Dino know at the end of your stay what you have had and he will add that to your final bill.Be aware that there is a €3 per person per day tourist tax which we paid to Dino along with the drinks money. The B&B is situated directly opposite one of the entrances to Pompeii, absolutely ideal!We had already bought a guided tour before we left but Dino advised us to get a yearly ticket (from Ticketone) as you can come and go as you wish. We paid almost £100 for the tour but the yearly ticket was only €35 each so we bought those too. We are going back to Pompeii next year so was definitely worth it.We visited 3 times this week and saw so much but probably not everything! We went in one day at 4pm until it closed at 7pm, there was barely anyone else there so felt like we had Pompeii to ourselves!Dino! He really is a fountain of knowledge! When we told him of our plans he advised how to make the most of our time and we adjusted accordingly. We fitted in so much more with his help. He picked us up from the airport (€80) which was a godsend, highly recommended. He took us on an Almafi coast tour for the day. We visited Ravello, Almafi and Positano (€85pp). On the journey he pointed out some beautiful sites and told us the history of things. We left at 9.30am and got back to the B&B around 5.30pm.He chats like you've known each other for years, very funny and personable.We had booked tickets for Herculanium before we left. We were planning on visiting on Thursday but Dino suggested we change it to Friday morning as we were leaving for the airport in the afternoon. We took a train there and Dino picked us up with our luggage already in the car and took us straight to the airport (€100) so we didn't have to worry about the stress of public transport. It was the perfect end to our 5 day stay. I would 100% recommend staying at the B&B. Dino will help you with anything you need, restaurants, itinerary, trains etc. All in all, we had a fabulous time!!

  Perfect spot for your Pompeii stay

  Right opposite one of the less busy entrances to the ruins, this place was perfect. Host Dino was amazing, bed was very comfy, breakfast was fresh and plentiful, and I couldn't believe how quiet it was given the location. I will definitely be back! Huge thanks.

  Lovely base for exploring Pompeii

  Stayed here with family - 2 adults and 2 kids. Our host Dino was lovely - offered airport pick up and drop off, lots of knowledge about the local area and advice about local eateries. Literally a few moments walk to the entrance of the ruins themselves and local tourist offices for tours to Vesuvius and Herculaneum and many good restaurants nearby. Honesty bar downstairs for alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages. Highly recommend as a base for exploring.
