    A warm welcome

    The host, Vanna, was wonderful: warm, helpful, and very knowledgeable about the city. The room was large and airy, you really got a sense of being in a residential home rather than a hotel. The breakfast and coffee were very good and set us up for the day.We found the location in the historic centre was great if you want to be right in the middle of things. It was very convenient for getting around, and plenty of restaurants, however we found it too busy and hectic.

    Smell of sewage in the corridor (could feel it in the room from there), mouldy window, uncomfortable bed with worn off and dirty linen (with hair of previous guests) and the worst of all - host lady that is not accepting any complaints. According to her everything is perfect. When I said that we would like to leave earlier because "we don't like here" she acclaimed: "You don't like me?!!". I think everyone would find this reaction a bit strange, especially after hearing her cursing when I politely refuse her entry to the room to clean as at that moment I was busy. Not communicative, she give us refund when we even didn't ask about it. We wanted move our staff without rush as my luggage was broken and it was already after 10am, so we would take the refund for the days that we decided to not stay there, pay for the days we already spend there including the day of leaving as it was already after check out time. She fail to communicate effectively with both me and my partner and as well she didn't seem to be approachable, she reacted aggressively (after our short conversation I could hear her hissing and sighting under my door) so I was afraid to leave the room and waited there till my partner came back. Couldn't deal with someone like that after sleeplesss night. When finally my partner came back I went quickly to open for him downstairs gate, but was approached by her on the corridor, asking when we finally leave the room as she is loosing money because of us (unbelievable) we didn't eat breakfast so she has to bin it etc. She even didn't let us pack our clothes in peace. Crazy. It looks like she was very offended that we dare to point out that her place is not perfect and she wanted to ged rid of us as soon as possible. Person like that shouldn't work in hospitality! We took time to write our review as every whenever we were thinking about it we reminded ourselves her negative vibes and we felt literally sick. It is nice to have our money back but it still doesn't give this person right to treat anybody so badly!I wish we could avoid that awful experience. So... we had communication problems from the start (in English), but I see that you can write just fine!I have no problem with criticism of any kind, or suggestions if they make sense. I specify that you came to me and said, and I quote: I DON'T LIKE YOU!, and it's clear that I widened my eyes not understanding what I could have ever done to you (having never seen you for 3 days). I asked, don't you like me? and you specified that you meant the place and not me. You told me you wanted to leave and I told you that was fine with me. After that, since we couldn't communicate well, I wrote to your Italian boyfriend and the one who had originally booked to find out what had happened. I still have the exchange of messages on whatapps in which he writes that getting a refund would be a beautiful thing. At this point at 1.30 pm I asked you politely just to find out what time you were thinking of leaving the room (being check out at 10.30 am). You started shouting and also said: I don't know why francesco decided this! If you didn't communicate with each other I can't pay the consequences. Fortunately all the reviews show that the structure is very clean, certainly impossible that what you say is true, also because I do not think you would have lasted 3 days. I would have also explained to you in a very polite way that the floor you so criticise is a floor from the 1800s, original to the house, so it is NOT dirty, but semi-clean. Hence uneven. A floor, by the way, always appreciated because it is old. But you have to be sensitive to understand this.I don't understand why this gratuitous attack after all these months. Maybe because the reply to the review left by your boyfriend made it clear that this whole situation is ridiculous?You need respect in life.I wsishI would avoid this awful experience.

    Unbeatable location, lovely people

    Vanna, the owner was not there when we arrived, but gave us her phone number and offered to help us with anything we needed. The lady handling the rooms, Titta I believe, although did not speak much english, was very kind and helpful. We had the green room, with the bed upstairs. Large and nice room, comfy bed. A bit more dated than the pictures. Great view. Wifi worked well. The building has an elevator. Great location. They had printed info in english, regarding what and where to eat and also places to visit, which was very helpful.The bathroom was not very comfortable. We did not like the shower curtain and the fact that the bath mat was not a towel but a regular mat, meaning that every guest uses it, but that is very easy to fix by providing a towel for the floor.

    This b&b was perfect. The owner, Vanna is really friendly and makes a lovely breakfast. The room was huge and clean. The shower had great pressure.     Everything is possible - Vanna and Daniela are wonderful hosts. The room is spacious and the view is dreamy. The air con works perfectly as does the wifi.One tiny little need for improvement is the aeration in the bathroom...
