  Basic but functional, use as a base then you'll be fine. Want home comforts? then it's not for you!

  This hotel is budget and you get what you pay for. If you go in eyes wide open then you will be more than okay. We did and overall we were quite happy here.Would we stay again if in Naples? Possibly.If you're happy with basic, no frills, clean and functional room to act as a base where you can leave your stuff whilst you go out on foot, or day trips, then this is great. If you like your home comforts and want spend more than a few hours during the day in your room then you need find somewhere else.This one is not B&B but it did say that in the room details when we booked but they really should remove that from the title as it's very misleading. Good: - Only 45mins from airport. We got the Alibus for 5euros each which takes 30mins into town, then a 15 minute walk but you could take taxi direct for about 25euros.- Excellent central location, you can walk to most places in Naples from catacombs in north (30mins) to the sea port in the south (10mins)- Close to metro, tram and buses. - Lots of eateries up and down immediate street whilst being able to walk 5mins into centre where you you'll find abundance of places to eat & drink.- Clean rooms with wifi and tv (though to be honest we didn't need to use either so can't vouch for them).- We booked a room with a street balcony and whilst quite small it's good to sit and watch / listen to the city life (especially with a beer or wine) - Small Balcony but room also well insulated from street noise, you can still hear it but very low and we didn't find it a bother at all.- Staff were pleasant, very quick to respond to requests and check-in / out was easy. They don't tend to be there much but you can call them which was fine for us.- Close to mini market for getting in those room snacks, drinks wine etc.Not so good:- Only a kettle in room and the very small amount of complimentary coffee / tea / milk upon arrival wasn't replenished like most hotels when room was cleaned every 2 days. With no way to chill shop bought milk it curdled overnight at room temp. Small touch to replace would have been appreciated as nice to get up and have a hot drink without having to go out and buy one. - Downstairs is a tattoo shop and whilst that isn't a problem there were always small groups hanging around near street entrance smoking weed so for a few hours every day the whole entrance wreaked and was quite unpleasant for us non smokers. Thankfully, as used as a base we weren't there that often.- Not great signage so not very obvious to find, even though street number is visible you just expect a sign. We walked past it 3 times to start with.

  Scary and scam.

  This establishment claimed to be a B&B. This organization used a different name to book under - it was on a back side street. We could not find the door. There were no signs but a small buzzer on the wall. Inside in the office, 2 men ran it. The so called room was a 5 min walk away to a enclave with a gate. Dark. We had to walk up a floor outside to get to a double locked door. The room we finally got to after going through THREE locked doors. We Ran !!!! Wish we could give it negative numbers. Residenza Dei D... N, Proprietario at Dei Decumani B&B, responded to this review Dear Madame, YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN OUR GUEST. I think you are writing about another place. we DON'T use another name for our place;we are on a main street - Via Duomo- and not in a back side street;no man works with us, we are only three women;All our rooms are all at the first floor of our building and to reach them you don't need to walk away from our builind or cross gates or double locked door. We did a claim against this review because we don't have any reservation in your name and the description is clearly talking about a different place. I hope it will be deleted soon.

  Central indeed, but poor experience

  The B&B has definitely a good position in the heart of Naples historical center.The room we had was as on the picture and clean.This said, a lot a "details" were disappointing:- The lady @ the B&B was not speaking a word of english or any other langage, but she manage to show us how annoying we were just by her body langage!- Don't think about paying by credit card,YES! they have the machine... but unfortunately "out of order" ;)- The door of our room was locked with the most standard key you can figure- the "lobby" was noisy and we were awaken in the morning by other guestsI guess only very normal things in Napoli, but still very annoying A PLACE TO AVOID!!! Residenza Dei D... N, Proprietario at Dei Decumani B&B, responded to this review your comment seems to be discriminatory, what do you mean that this is normal for Naples, that we are all cheaters? Our housekeeper has even translated into French the receipt of the credit card machine which was unfortunately out of order. The phone line on that day was out of order and I can't understand why this is our fault, I do apologize but obviously it is not in my power to fix it, I can only ask to phone company to fix it, as I did. . You say the room was clean and just as shown in the picture, but you also say that our place is to avoid, About the door...what about a common key?I'm so sorry if other guests were noisy, I apologize for them. However, may I say that yours is a review of the unpleasant tone of your insinuations about people’s honesty for no reason?

  Nice&neat room, very hospitable staff!

  The building is very old, doesn't look to good on the outside, but the rooms were probably recent renovated, they are neat & furniture was pretty new. The room was really great, maybe if the room had a window with a street view (instead of interior yard view) would have been even better. The lady that welcomed us (Tania) was very nice and friendly, and helped us with all the information we needed. Breakfast was served in the room (all tasty and fresh) but not consistent enough in my opinion (it was composed of pastry and sweets, I would have preferred some butter, cheese, eggs or ham to make a sandwich or an omelet). The location was actually good (very close to the historical center) and pretty easy to get to from the airport. Overall, it was a nice experience, very good value for the money! Residenza Dei D...
