  Never trust a booking at this hotel.

  Never any booking here again. We book our holiday for October already in February. Even with this way ahead booking the hotel moved us to another location promised same standard with sea view etc. This became our worst holiday ever in Italy with a very poor hotel and absolutely no help from Serapide. This was a nightmare and I guess only to take full amount and then place us in a low cost hotel.

  Grand Hotel Serapide has horrible business practices! Don't stay!!!Was charged for changing a date of stay by one day within their FREE cancelation policy: 2 room $231 theft! Called to verify transport from Napoli Airport, spoke to Christian, he hadn't opened the email request. Promised refund: 2 taxi ride $80 from airport $90 to airport, $170 theft! I've written the Hotel 3 times via email. No refund, not even a reply.Don't stay there! 0 stars.

  meh, nice hotel, but disappointing on so many other levels

  This hotel is far removed from the city and you will be charged double the taxi rate, however you won't know this until they have taken you. Something to do with going outside of city area - we were told $35 and then it was $70 when we arrived. Also when we stayed there were no times specs on the website for free airport shuttle, which is why we chose to stay. If your flight leave anytime before 10am you will be paying yet again double to reach the airport. I asked the front staff for a screwdriver three times to tighten my luggage handle, and never received it. I will say the staff had a nice bag of breakfast for our 0400 depart to the airport, rooms and area were clean and nice. Nothing is near to walk to for food so you definitely feel far removed from anything.

  Sulphur stinky, selfish Hotel

  We booked 2 nights, from Rome the day before traveling to Pouzouli, 25 minutes from Naples.Shame on this hotel, the Serapide, for refusing to refund our second night, when we couldn't stay.They did not have to refund, but we could not stay another night in this horrible place, and had to leave to a different hotel in a different area.We didn't know that Pouzouli had a volcanic thermal, sulphuric vent, right near the hotel grounds. It was the worst horrible stinking mess, just awful and everywhere in the whole area!We tried to get around town at night and it never got better, it made me sick!I could barely breath the suffering was so bad.Stinking like sewer gas all night, and we couldn't open the door to the deck, to get fresh air b/c it was everywhere outside!So sick to stomach that skipped breakfast, didn't eat anything from the free breakfast. Do NOT stay at this stinky, selfish mess of a hotel. Unless you're not able to smell!

  I stayed for six nights. The hotel has a nice view but is a long way out of town. The staff were nice and the breakfasts good. My room was fairly basic. Soundproofing was very poor. There was a door (locked) from my room into the next door room and on my last night it was like being in the same room as other guests. The hotel said they were not able to move me to another room and would ask the guests to be quiet, however the noise level was constantly high until very late. I had an early start the next day so it was very annoying.
