    Huge walls outside our windows! No view or natural light!

    Pros - Lovely big room, comfy bed and friendly staff. Very convenient for getting around the city.Cons - No view from our room at all! There was a high wall right outside both windows, so we had no natural light and couldn't see what the weather was like before going out! We were put in room 206. We had to go up to level 3, then walk down a large double set of marble stairs with our suitcases and back up again at the end of our stay. Going out each day was a bit of a pain. There was only a mirror inside the wardrobe and one by the sink in the bathroom, which wasn't ideal when I wanted to use my straighteners (electicity and water). Breakfast was disappointing. I am vegan and emailed the hotel beforehand and told the lady at reception upon our arrival. There was soya milk, a vegan cake and a couple of vegan croissants, but other people were eating them, and these people clearly weren't vegan! No butter alternative, so I couldn't have toast. You can hear the rumbling of the trains which does disturb your sleep. I probably wouldn't go back.

    Great rooms and super clean, very high security system which made us feel safe in Naples! Breakfast offering with lots of bread varieties, honey, jam and much more. Best coffee in Naples, the hotel team offers a great service! Hotel location is close to the train station but still very silent.

    Good base for travels with spacious rooms

    Though out of the centre access to this hotel is right next to the Mergellina Metro Station which make the city and old town accessible in minutes - catching the fast direct train is straightforward and day tickets allow multiple trips, including buses and funiculars.The hotel is above the station so the very slow lift was an initial problem - we got used to the stairs except when carrying bags. Staff are friendly - receptionists have good English and helped with restaurants and travel arrangements. Rooms are large - we had a bedroom and sitting room along with a very well-appointed shower room. Bed was large and comfortable. There is no storage space - just a hanging rail - so we changed from our cases.Breakfast is continental with fruit cereals seeds and egg/cheese/ham options - waiters bring the excellent coffee and are very professional though without English.TV is limited - signal is flaky and I could not find English channels. We did not request a quiet room which was an oversight we regretted as the traffic noise - despte shutters and double glazing - was intrusive - I had to use earplugs.Overall a mixed opinion but - for the price - a good base for travel with helpful staff.

    The air conditioners do not work. We called the front lobby and said theres nothing they can do. Its 90 degrees in our room. The area around the hotel is sketchy at best. Its just another one of these fake boutique hotels that put up some foo foo design but its just a run down building.

    Metro 900 Pros: staff was very kind, room was clean and tidy everyday. Doors to the hotel lock and generally quiet. Cons: lots of homeless sleep outside the hotel. Entry was confusing because you have to ring a bell to be buzzed in. During the day it’s fine. Late at night - not so much. The entry to the hotel is very small, dark and right. Reception is on the upper level. There unfortunately is also a sewer order that lingers in the main level and elevator. Elevator is extremely small and slow. Overall the staff was very accommodating and kind. Just some elements that make it not as welcoming or charming as it can be.
