  Superb hotel. Central location and very handy for the Metro station and main street of Naples. It was a superb room and lovely and spacious, although the a/c wasn't working whilst we were there - probably too early in the season when we we were there for it to be on. There's a taxi rank straight across the road which proved handy when we went to train station to move on to Civitavecchia.The breakfast was good, had plenty choices, although be warned that you might have a wait as they don't have lots of eggs if there;s a rush - thats no the hotels fault its just timings. The terrace is lovely but be warned if the wind speed gets too high they have to close it. Would be nice if they could serve drinks there at night as it has a lovely view of the castle. We would absolutely stay at this hotel again and if you cross the road straight out front and walk up the lane there is a super little restaurant at the top which we ate in two nights (staff are fabulous)Cannot fault anything about the hotel and as mentioned before the location is perfect.   Rooms a bit small.Hotel needs a refresh generally.Staff good especially Priscilla at the bar.Good assistance with dietary issues at breakfast.Well located near metro.A reasonable choice on balance.   Upon arrival (I'm a very old client), at the reception, they immediately ask me documents and credit card. And they immediately take from credit card the full amount for my stay (not a pre-authorization), including city tax (this is incorrect since if I'm not completing the expected stay, I can be required to pay the hotel but I don't need to pay city tax). Anyway, with payment done and completed, I ask for my Hotel receipt and they reply that receipt will be gave only at departure and on such date. Since my office only accept receipt and credit card expenses on the same date, I point out that since they took out money from the credit card, receipt to be on the same date. They start to present various justification also saying that the amount taken was only a "deposit" while the entire amount was taken and the possibility to make a pre-authorization on the credit card is well known and used worldwide. At the end receipt received on the date of arrival.Room assigned: it was a room for disable people and I only discover when entering, without any advice at the reception, neither the possibility to understand if other rooms are available or the hotel is full. Furthermore, after a long discussion to the reception, it wasn't easy to come back to discuss again.Room at first floor wasn't well soundproofed from outside and with a restaurant in from, wasn't easy to slept. Hair dryer wasn't working well (only cold air) and another one received by the reception. The sink stopper weren't possible to completely open with always some water (and later foam) remaining on the bottom.The breakfast it was wonderful as usual and with an incomparable view. In conclusion, I don't think to come back to this hotel.   Tired hotel - tolerable for one night only

  Tired hotel which isn’t reflected in the price which isn’t cheap. Staff are friendly apart from one ghastly receptionist who was rude to all our party at various times. Breakfast not the best we’ve had in hotels in Italy. Bathroom was tired, aircon noisy and door to bathroom was too big and didn’t fit so no privacy.   Great hotel stay!

  The Mecure Hotel was a nice surprise, better than I had expected (which is always so nice). We had booked two nights in advance in the least expensive two bedded room. We ended up arriving a day earlier. I tried to book the same least expensive two bedded room but that was no longer available last minute. I had to pay more for a room with a single queen size bed. When we arrived they kindly upgraded us to a "privilege" room with one queen size bed that we were able to stay in for our full three nights. The room was small but adequate with free use of the mini bar and a lovely balcony. It overlooked the main street but with the balcony doors closed the noise was not bad. The hotel has a lovely lobby and a nice breakfast area ( we just looked at the breakfast space) but we did not have breakfast included in our rate. The hotel is very well located for arriving via ferry- a less then 10 minute walk. The hotel was convenient to the metro with a quick ride to the main train station. There were plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Although Naples gets not so great reviews regarding safety we had absolutely no problems- even walking around at night. We really enjoyed Naples and what it had to offer.
