A dream — if your dream is a full-blown nightmare

    rating11 May 2025

This place isn’t a hotel, it’s a social experiment to test human patience and suffering. They didn’t answer messages or calls, so we spent a delightful four hours trying to figure out how to enter the building. Eventually, a kind Italian stranger (who apparently has better connections than we did) called them, and someone from a completely different hotel showed up to let us in.The room? Oh, a masterpiece: a taped-up toilet, a cloud of incense that could choke a monk, a wobbly bed with a mattress that felt like a memory foam grave, and the sweet lullaby of sirens and traffic blaring all night long. Imagine trying to sleep under a highway with a rave going on — but less comfortable.Breakfast was a horror show of its own. The staff member clearly trained in the art of passive-aggression, rolled her eyes at any request for water, tea, or coffee like we’d just asked her to donate a kidney. And the elevator? A luxury experience — for just 10 cents you can ride it with your luggage. Because nothing says “hospitality” like a coin-operated elevator in the 21st century.Highly recommended if you’re bored with life, want to sleep like a troll under a bridge, and fight a hobo for breakfast in the morning.

Apartments not hotel, Small signage on building

Napoli Garibaldi Luxury Napoli garibaldi square are apartments & not a hotel. The Pro's The Cons. The truths You have to pick keys up elsewhere .Entrance to is via a large green paint peeling door with private apartment door ringers. Of course none of these are yours. Room very modern but alas no hot water until you run it for 10 mins then wait for the shower tray to empty before you can use it. For breakfast you have to go to where you pick your keys up to eat. Breakfast is a fight with students as they eat the lot. Plastic cups & cutlery are in use. Don't expect everything to be out as 2 out of 5 days there were yoghurts & only on the last day was there cheese or meats & tarts. Sometimes there was no jam or knives to butter with. Only on our last day were we given ceramic cups. Juice jugs were only half filled & then students used all the water to fill there containers with. The breakfast area is just outside some of the rooms. Photo shows full breakfast. :(Inside the apartment doorway is a little old man in a cabin who when pointed out our paperwork didn't even seem to recongnise his own address. He couldn't speak any English & I don't know if he was the building work supervisor or the concierge. No hairdryer in the room as stated.Happy enough though to give us one after they looked at me as if I had nicked it. Very noisy I kid you not, traffic is all through the night to as least 4am then starts up around 5am. Although bed very comfortable. Changing lights above bed we nicknamed porno lights. The pro's Comfortable bed, modern room, cleaned well every day.Great wifiVery handy for both train stations for the Circumvesuviana Nolana & GaribaldiUse Nolana because on very busy days it's the 1st stop & Garibaldi can get very busy & you may end up with no seat. Very handy for all excursions including Pompei, Ercolono, Sorrento (Sorrento is last stop) Free timetables easy to use & cheap. This could be a great place if they put bigger sign on the door & improved the entrance. It shares the building with local apartments. NGS is the 2nd floor.Certain times of the day the lift is 10 cents to use as we were on the 2nd floor we took the stairs all the time.Ok as a base.Breakfast could be improved. We got a taxi from airport which was 23 Euros I know it's cheaper but we wanted to be taken straight to hotel (no apartment). When we asked during our stay how much it was they said 20 Euros but we spotted the airport shuttle bus which we looked at & it's only 5 Euros each. We did this & it takes you straight to the airport doors. They are every 15 mins just outside the train station Garibaldi.

    terrible management, con artists

    rating29 Oct 2018

location is good if you are looking to use the train stations, but beware you have to check in at their other hotel and you will not be able to locate this hotel as it is badly sign posted. Management are awful, the staff are rude and find any way they can to slap extra charges on, especially if you travel with children. breakfast is a disgrace, no knifes for the butter/jam and no bowls or milk for the cereal. just a few stale bits of bread and pastry.

There were great coffee shops around there with lovely croissants and coffee. But some of the area was crowded of market selling from cigarettes to fake bags.Didn’t feel very safe.Good point is the the central station is few meters away as well as the underground with a mall 200m away which Is clean and nice.

    Fraud Fraud Fraud

Booked this hotel via hotels.com $160 AUD for two rooms for one night, the hotel then charged my card ten times the amount $1600 AUD 2 months before check in (was meant to be charged on check in). Once my bank sorted this, the hotel charged my card another $900. AVOID, we cancelled this hotel and booked elsewhere. No email, and the manager is never there when you call.
