    Great little hotel in Central Naples, comfortable clean rooms with lovely staff. We were in Naples for 4 nights to explore it's rich history, plus visit Pompeii. Napoli's Gold is ideally located as its only a few minutes walk from the train station and Naples other historical locations. My wife and I have no complaints and would probably return to here if we ever go back to Naples.     Unfriendly manager and 2 of 3 rooms were booked smelled from the toilets.

    It's in the seedy side of town. The women were a little scared walking around there at night. When walking in the front door you have to step over a 6"high ledge. Three of us banned our heads walking in, to the point I cut my head and the blood ruined my new hat I just bought while in Italy. Then you have to remember to watch out for a 4" post holder sticking up from the ground, right as you walk in, and in line with walking to the steps. The day manager is arrogant and ignorant with no customer relations experience. Rooms were tiny especially if staying for 12 nights. No common area to meet your travel companions. The maid was nice, but kept turning off our AC and lowering our fridge and unplugging everything we had plugged in like charging our phones every morning when they cleaned. I would not recommend even if your on a budget vacation. Find a better hotel. Our loss could be your gain. If three people manage to hit their heads and trip over clearly visible architectural elements, the issue lies with your own coordination, not our structure. Blaming the hotel for a 'ruined hat' because you weren't looking where you were going is frankly ridiculous.As for the location, defining one of the main avenues of Naples—just 3 minutes from the station—as 'seedy' is a baseless prejudice. Thousands of tourists choose us every year specifically for our safe and strategic position.Lastly, concerning the cleaning staff: it is standard international procedure (and common sense) to turn off AC and appliances when guests are not in the room for safety and energy-saving reasons. It’s called being eco-friendly, not a lack of service.We suggest you find a hotel more suited to your 'needs' next time, perhaps one made of foam and rubber.     Very bad Odor

    The odor coming out of the bathroom was so disgusting that it literally made my wife and me sick to my stomach. I covered the toilet and other drains with towels to no avail. The odor never went away. I told the manager and had to check out early. He said that he would not refund my last 4 nights even though he had my room rented with another person the same night that we had to leave. There were many other issues but this is reason enough. Please do not make the same mistake.     We stayed for 1 night, all four us (including a 3 year okd and a 5 month old baby didn’t sleep well. I’m not sure if there were insects or something but in the morning we had rashes/insect bites on our skin, all of us.     Perfect for a city break.

    This was a really basic hotel right in the middle of the action. It was clean, comfortable, with a nice little continental breakfast thrown in. The staff were so helpful. It’s all you need for a city break when you are usually out more than you are in. Great value for money. It was a bit tricky to find. Look out for the Mele Pellicce sign outside the front.
