    Title: Avoid this place – hidden fees & poor quality

    We have travelled for more than 30 years across 60+ countries, and this was one of our worst accommodation experiences.• 30 € hidden late check-in fee• Staff ignored our requests and never sent receipts• Broken shower, non-functional parts• Very noisy area (traffic, neighbours)• Views of deteriorating buildings• Very basic, incomplete equipmentDefinitely not recommended.

    We had a good stay at Palazzo Settembrini 49. The apartment is in a good spot to access other activities. Only a Short 15 mins walk from central station. Rooms were clean, spacious. The beds, pillows were comfortable and having a fridge & aircon in the heat of Napoli was a great bonus. The owners were helpful, friendly & were always available if we needed anything for the apartment. The kids liked the radio in the shower. All in all we had a fab time.

    The Wall The Door The Plane

    Getting to the bad first: The Wall in the bedroom is very thin. On two occasion, we could hear someone snoring. The Door, there's a door in the bedroom. Short story: There was commotion in the building, and it just happened to be shortly afterward, someone was checking in (as we were told later), talking loudly, and must had pulled on it from their side. With the disturbance and door jarring, we thought someone was trying to get in. Need I say more. We were told that the door does not open from either direction.The Plane's takeoff flight path is overhead. Fortunately, flights do not run overnight. I think midnight to 6 am. Now for the Good. Very nice unit, and the terrace is great. Alexandro was very pleasant upon checking in and showed us around the apartment. Groceries and food are within five mins. 15 min walk to train station. If you plan on cooking, ask about the gas because it appears to be turned off.Rating of 5 if not for the incident and the occasional barking dogs during the night.

    Great location. Wonderful modern rooms. Air conditioning was a life saver. Centrally located. Close to the Duomo, Via Toledo, the Spanish Quarter and historic district... We walked everywhere and had a blast. Would love to come back someday and would definitely stay there again
