Bathroom not cleaned or just a second.

    rating12 Apr 2026

Dirthy bathroom with a lot a toorhpaste in the glasses, spots on the mirror and dirthy hairs in the sjouwer. The sight from the window was blocked so I felt claustrofobic. The beds were good. You had to go in by a very little door to an open space, cross it and get an elevator working with coins. Nice place I presume but not a nice feeling with the dirthy bathroom. Never again. Sorry.

Nice hotel in a great location

    rating12 Mar 2026

I found this hotel on booking.com and reserved it from there. The communication from the hotel was great before we arrived. We had a car arranged from the Napoli Centrale train station to the hotel. The front of this hotel was not something we were used to, it was sort of a court yard with an elevator and you needed to use a € .10 cent to use the elevator to get to the third floor where the hotel is. The first time you do this, there is an attendant in the court area who will give you the € .10 cent and then when you check in the hotel provides you with a bunch of € .10 cent coins for you to use during your stay, this was convenient. The staff at the hotel will also provide you with all the access codes you need to get into that courtyard are if you are going to be out late at night and the door is locked, we were fine with this and it made us feel really safe that the door was locked to the court yard. The room we stayed in was large and had a very high ceiling, it must have been 15 feet high or more. We liked the room we stayed in. The only thing it did not have was a safe. I’m used to using a safe in every hotel I stay in so I felt a little uneasy about this at first but our room was right in front of the reception area and we had no issues at all so in the end a safe wasn’t needed. The breakfast at this hotel is nice and they have lots of options. We especially liked the espresso/Cappucino machine, it made really good drinks. In the area where you eat breakfast the tables have mirrored tops so you can look at the ceiling which was amazing. This is a property that was built in the 16th century, we really liked the old charm. We felt very safe at this property and you can walk everywhere from here. It’s in a great location in Naples. We walked for miles during the day and at night and never had any issues. We did not encounter any pickpockets in Naples, but we were careful, keep your purse in front of you and men should not have their wallet in their back pocket. We had no complaints at all about this hotel and would stay there again, we recommend it. If you’re looking for a high end 5 star property, this isn’t it but as people who normally stay at the higher end of hotels, we really liked this place for its staff and location.

    Unique Historic Gem

    rating26 Sept 2025

Relais Della Porta was an ideal base for a few days in Naples. The location between the Spanish Quarter and Historic Center was a great area to explore, with easy access to the Toledo metro station. The building itself was a memorable part of the experience, with incredible history and architecture (including restored fresco ceilings and an entrance through a hidden door in the gate). The staff were very helpful and offered lots of tips on the area. They provided a generous free upgrade to a beautiful, spacious room. Breakfast included a vast, delicious selection of local baked goods.

Fantastic Location, Clean & Spacious Rooms, Excellent Service We stayed at Relais Della Porta twice in September

    rating23 Sept 2025

We stayed at Relais Della Porta twice in September 2025 (3 nights at the beginning of our trip and 2 more nights after Sorrento–Amalfi–Ravello).Location: Perfect! Right on Via Toledo in the heart of Naples. Walking distance to all the important piazzas, statues, restaurants, famous pizzerias, metro stations, and Beverello Port for ferries to Capri and Sorrento. Couldn’t be better.Hotel Setup: The property has two parts.• Via Toledo 368 (3rd floor): Historic palace with frescos, main reception, and older rooms.• Via Toledo 373 (2nd floor): Modern, very clean, spacious rooms (ours even had a jacuzzi). The lift works but there are about 10 steps down to the entrance from the 2nd floor. Both buildings look like traditional Italian apartments from the outside, not like a hotel.Rooms & Breakfast: Rooms in 373 were spotless and modern. Interior rooms are quieter—rooms facing Via Toledo can be noisy.Breakfast is served in both 368 and 373, but the 368 breakfast is richer and served in a more elegant room. Guests from 373 can also eat there. Service: Special thanks to Mr. Mohamad at reception in the evenings—he was amazing. Extremely helpful with restaurants, transportation, and any requests we had. He made our stay even better.Summary:• Fantastic location• Clean, modern, spacious rooms• Very good breakfast• Warm, helpful service• Entrance and lifts are more like residential Italian buildings than hotel style, but this is part of the charm

    Lovely period building

    rating12 Sept 2025

Our initial thoughts on the entrance of the hotel were reserved, little tiny door and very old lift. We were skeptical as to how the hotel itself would be.However we were greeted warmly by Esther and her colleagues, they took the time to share the history of the building with us and made us feel very welcome. Our room was beautifully spacious and had charming character. We only stayed for one night. We wish we could have stayed longer. The hotel is centrally located and easily accessible from metro.Next time we will return when in Naples.Thank you for making our stay special
