  I stayed with the family for a week in the two-room apartment on the top floor. The building is modern with elevator, walk in 10 minutes you get to the beach of Maria Pia, or Lido San Giovanni, as well as bars, restaurants and supermarkets nearby (we in fact had no car). We found the Bus Service useful and efficient (both scheduled to the center, and the exclusive one to get around the various beaches in the area).Strong points of the apartment: separate fully equipped kitchen and a beautiful terrace with sea view with table and chairs for a super al fresco breakfast!   CON BY THE ALMA DI ALGHERO HOTEL

  The apartment is not advertised separately from the hotel which gives you the impression that the apartment is next to it. It is actually 300 metres away. The hotel itself is set off from the main road whereas the apartment is right on the main road and on a Saturday night the cafe/bar opposite the hotel on the beach plays very loud music until 2am. The apartment is not self contained as it does not even have a kettle. No change of bed sheets or towels and that is terrible when temperature is over 32C everyday. No cleaning either. Because you think it is part of the hotel you expect the standard to be as good as the hotel but it is absolutely different and standard much lower. For the price you pay it is a fraud

  COMPLETE FRAUD – DO NOT BOOK ALMA APARTMENTS IN ALGHERO

  FRAUD – NO WIFI – DIRTY – SMALL APARTMENTS – INSECTS – NO WASHING MACHINEWe booked 3 weeks in Alma apartments for ourselves and our two families (in total 3 apartments). This was the biggest mistake ever made for a holiday.We spoke to the booking team some 20 times and explained our requirements, including having an infant, and we were told many lies to get our payment.The company and their staff are a fraud and I would warn anyone against booking Alma Apartments in Alghero.Problems:1) Apartments are super small: if you open the sofabed nobody can get access to the kitchen or access the door (imagine in case of fire); the single bedroom if you open the other bed you have 3 cm between the beds; in the double bedroom if you put a cot (our requirement) you had to literally jump on the bed because there was no space2) Apartments were given to us dirty and we were forced to pay the hidden fee of 80 Eur to clean the apartment at the end3) Hidden fee of cleaning apartment at the end of the holiday4) No WIFI: we were told that there was no internet on the street – which is lie because the neighbour properties (literally next door) has wifi routers (you could see from the balcony and this was confirmed by a neighbour)5) No washing machine: we were told that there was a laundry for the building, but it was 5kg washing machine (old and dirty) in the garage – only one washing machine for 11 apartments with a min cycle of 3 hours! Given that Alma does not change linen or towels (unless you pay extra) you will be unable to do the laundry6) Bathroom completely bare: there is no shelf or cabinet to put anything, including no hooks for towels7) Kitchen accessorised with super-cheap utensils: if you plan to cook anything you will burn your hands from those cheap pans8) No TV in the bedrooms9) The balcony albeit appears nice cannot be used because the air conditioning condenser is in the middle of the balcony and it blows hot air onto the table and people10) Sofa for the two bedroom apartment only accommodates two people to seat11) Electrical system is faulty: you cannot use for example air conditioning and the hob at the same time otherwise it trips as it did for us (so you are left cooking in the torrid heat)12) We were invaded by ants (thousands) and we complained but did not received help nor a response. We had to buy some chemical ourselves to contain the issue13) Staff is rude, unhelpful and lazy.   Worst stay ever!

  We had booked a "studio for four" It didn`t say anywhere that it was a room with a kitchenette! There was no way we were all gonna fit in that room. When we unfolded the sofa, we couldn`t move in there. We arrived late in the evening and the cleaning lady was there to check us in. Payment first before we even got to see what we thought was an apartment for four. When we realized we had made a huuge mistake, of course there was no way of getting our money back so we could get another place. Expedia did what they could the next morning, we got a text that we could get an apartment for 315 euros extra When the cleaning lady came to get us moved to the apartment those 315 euros was now 350. We were so tired and so disappointed.the apartment we got for 350 extra had a kitchen with not so much as a normal knife, so if you plan to stay here bring as much utensils as you can! The balcony and the stairwell was dirty. You can`t open the balcony without bumping in to the kitchen table, In the bedroom you bump into the bed if you open the balcony door.We stayed for 2 weeks, no change of towels or sheets, that was another 40 euros. The cleaning lady told us to use the washing machine in the basement for our sheets, but it was broken the whole time we were there.She was complaining on how she had called them several times to come and fix it. I have to tell you folks, there are soo many nice places to stay in Alghero, this is NOT one of them.I would NOT recommend this to anyone, You immediatly get the feeling that they only want money money money...
