In May campsite hasn't opened properly yet.

    rating10 May 2026

The staff were all lovely but the campsite hasn't opened for the season yet. Pools, entertainment etc all closed. Perhaps in July or August it would show its best side. I didn't notice anything at booking to say most services were closed. It.was very empty so prob not worth their while. Marketing Team, Agency / Consultant at Baia Holiday Baia Blu La Tortuga, responded to this review Dear guest, thank you for sharing your experience; we are delighted that you enjoyed the beachfront location and the comfort of your room. We would like to point out that our website always clearly states the opening times and dates for our various facilities, including the swimming pool and entertainment programme, so that every guest can be informed before booking and plan accordingly. Thank you in any case for your feedback, and we hope to welcome you back in the future when all our services are fully operational!

Too expensive for what it is!

    rating13 Aug 2025

his is our third consecutive summer holiday in Vignola. After careful consideration, we booked the last week of July at Baia Blu La Tortuga, expecting it to be ideal for our four children aged 4 to 10. The price was €1,756 for four nights including bed linen and air conditioning. At €439 per night, by far the most expensive camping experience we've had. As a well-traveled French family, we were willing to pay a premium for quality. At least, so we thought. We arrived close to midnight due to a delayed flight and were welcomed warmly by a friendly security officer who showed us to our mobile home. The campsite boasts direct beach access, a well-stocked supermarket nearby and restaurants within walking distance. No car needed. The grounds are generally well-kept and the pool area is fantastic with multiple pools and slides that our kids loved. Note: swimming caps are mandatory for pool access, so bring your own or buy one onsite. However, despite these positives, our experience was deeply disappointing given the steep price. Our assigned mobile home was located right at the campsite entrance, squeezed between reception and a busy access road. Despite prior emails expressing concerns about noise and safety for our young children, nothing was done to accommodate us.The next morning, the receptionist (Julia i think) was very understanding and found a more suitable unit for our family. She assured us there would be no extra charge beyond a €50 cleaning fee for moving after one night and promised a callback within a couple of hours as they needed to arrange cleaning. When the call finally came, we were shocked to hear from the manager, Laura, that the move was denied unless we paid an additional €500. Having already paid €1,700 for four nights, this was unacceptable and contradicted everything we had been told. Attempts to negotiate were flatly refused displaying a level of customer service we’ve never encountered before. The mobile home itself was basic and under-equipped, no microwave and very limited cutlery and cookware which is unacceptable at this price point. After a brief but heavy rain, water flooded our balcony due to clogged gutters indicating poor maintenance. For such a premium rate, higher standards are expected. Finally, we discovered check-out was at an unreasonably early 9 a.m. We requested a late check-out, which Laura grudgingly allowed until 10 a.m. Despite no subsequent booking, she reprimanded us harshly when we were just 10 minutes late as we were managing four kids getting ready.Overall, this was a profoundly disappointing family holiday. Baia Blu La Tortuga charges exorbitant rates but falls short on both amenities and most importantly, customer service. We share this review not to discourage travel but to highlight serious issues that future guests should be aware of. Adv Baiaholiday, Marketing at Baia Holiday Baia Blu La Tortuga, responded to this review Dear Customer,in our facility we offer different types of accommodation and price ranges. Rates are defined based on criteria that include seasonality, demand and specific characteristics of the accommodation, as happens in all accommodation facilities, thus guaranteeing each guest maximum freedom of choice. We spoke with our staff about your experience and would like to point out that the additional cost indicated to you was linked to a category upgrade. The Baia Sardinia units she booked, in fact, did not fully meet her expectations and are all located in the same area of the campsite.Regarding check-out, we tried to postpone it as much as possible; however, due to the delay, it was necessary to request the release of the house, since subsequent guests had already arrived to stay in the same accommodation. We regret that your holiday did not fully meet expectations and we assure you that we did our best to manage any reported critical issues.Kind regards

    Not the best

    rating21 Aug 2024

I have been staying at these type of camping parks all over Europe and this one is not the best. In fact, it’s the worst. The accommodation is very clean and practical, however the location of the accommodation in the park is horrendous. It’s a new unit right next to a public carpark which is frequented by the local moped racing circuits. Throughout the night until 4:30 am, you hear very very loud engines, which wake up babies and scare kids. I can’t tell you how loud it is. Not only that, there was very loud party for a couple of nights too, which ended around 3am. So if you’re after a relaxing break, this is not the place. It’s not the parks fault, but surely the authorities should stop this nonsense.I cannot recommend this park due to the amount of noise throughout the night. No respect at all. Not sleeping completely ruins your holiday. The park is ok, staff are friends and the entertainment is funny (cringe kind of way) the pool is nice but with hardly any sun beds which doesn’t bother us as take towels to lie on grass. Beach is ok, it is expensive but these places always are. There’s a good super market around 20 mins drive to stock up. Overall quite disappointed . Marketing Team, Agency / Consultant at Baia Holiday Baia Blu La Tortuga, responded to this review Dear guest,Thank you for sharing your experience and for appreciating the cleanliness and practicality of our accommodation, as well as our pool and the work of our staff. We are very sorry, however, that your stay was disturbed by noise from outside the campsite. We understand how frustrating it is not to get adequate rest during a holiday, especially when travelling with small children. Although, as you rightly observed, noise caused by external factors is not directly under our control, we deeply regret that this has adversely affected your experience. We will endeavour to report the situation to local authorities in the hope that they can take steps to limit these night-time activities and ensure a more peaceful environment for our guests.Regarding the number of sunbeds in the pool, we take note of your comment. We are constantly striving to improve and your feedback will surely be useful for us to evaluate how we can make our campsite a more pleasant and relaxing place to stay for everyone. We hope you will consider giving us another opportunity in the future to offer you a more positive experience.Best regards,

Great camp, so much potential, but slightly dull.

    rating15 Jun 2024

We stayed for 1 week with eurocamp in a standard lodge. The lodge was spotless on arrival and had everything we needed. However on our first day, there had been a power cut so we had to wait for this to come back on. This also meant the pool had to be closed on this day too. We were able to go to the beach instead but high winds meant the sea was really rough and we couldn’t swim in there either. The pool was open the rest of the time but it only opens 11:00 - 18:00 which I felt is a short time. You also have to wear swimming caps in the pool which we had to buy there. There’s also no loungers round the pool so be prepared to sit on the grass. There’s only 1 small shop on site and it doesn’t stock loads of choice, it was sufficient enough for a few nights but we got bored with lack of choice. There’s a pizza restaurant on site which were really good to be fair, we didn’t try anything else. There’s also an ice cream place which again was really good and a beach bar which does amazing cocktails, the mai tai’s were lovely. We ended up eating at a restaurant on the beach called Jatika, about 5 min walk, a coupe of times. The food was really good in there and the service was friendly. Apart from ‘mini club’, ‘baby dance’ and a good playground, we found there wasn’t much else going on at this place. The only other activities were watersports which cost a fortune. To say it’s in the middle of nowhere this is a massive shame. It’s definitely not lovely as described on eurocamp site. If you want a peaceful relaxing holiday in the forest and by the beach then this place is lovely. I would not return because we found it quite boring. Maybe if we had a car then we would explore the island a bit further. We normally like to hire bikes but we didn’t see anywhere to do this either. Everything is mega expensive here too, restaurant prices and shop prices. Marketing Team, Agency / Consultant at Baia Holiday Baia Blu La Tortuga, responded to this review Dear guest, thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry that your stay at our campsite did not completely meet your expectations. Thank you for taking the time to write this review, which is always helpful in order to grow and improve our facility. We will do our best to resolve the critical points and improve.

    Overpriced. Go elsewhere.

    rating17 Aug 2023

Go to this camping ONLY if: 1) you are traveling with your family and you have small kids (under 12); 2) you are planning to spend most of the time at the campsite; 3) you don't mind being really overcharged for pretty much everything. Indeed, for families with small kids and a large budget, this place is fine. The water by their beach is clean and beautiful, even though the beach is not that great; the campsite is safe and clean; there are enough amenities for children and the staff I engaged with is polite and nice. But, I don’t have small kids anymore, I don’t care to spend all my time at the campsite, and I don’t enjoy being overcharged to the point of silliness for literally everything. Therefore, after spending a week in July, I know I will not return to Baia Blu La Tortuga and here are my main reasons. The small and sad bungalow (Baia Blu model) - I have known for a while that Sardinia is an expensive destination and I knew the bungalow we booked was small. We just didn't expect it to be so small and, frankly, given the high price we paid, quite shabby and badly designed (to open the fridge door, I had to step inside the bathroom). The prior year we stayed in another small camping bungalow in Tuscany. This is just to say that we don't have problems with small places, and throughout the years we have been quite flexible with less than perfect accommodations, if they were priced fairly. Last year, for less than half of what we paid Baia Blu La Tortuga, when we arrived our bungalow had clean sheets for one queen bed and two singles, one set of towels for 4 people, a new roll of toilet paper and FREE Wi-Fi. In contrast, this Summer when we arrived at the early hours of the morning at Baia Blu La Tortuga, we found a bungalow that had none of that stuff. The first night we slept directly on the mattresses, and we fought over tissues paper when we had to use the bathroom. (FYI, at our arrival when I requested sheets and towels, we were told that the first set was already in the bungalow and included). The overpriced food & drink services – Normally the shops at any campsite are overpriced, and even here Baia Blu La Tortuga did not disappoint us. However… we did need toilet paper and a bunch of other stuff. (BTW, the closest town is Santa Teresa di Gallura, so I recommend doing your main shopping there, but it’s not always an option). What else can we charge you for? - Last year we rented four bikes for a week. We paid a fraction of what it would have cost us to do the same at Baia Blu La Tortuga, if they even had available bikes, but they didn’t. I was reminded again that it is to be expected: we are in Sardegna after all! OK. Then, we discovered that Baia Blu La Tortuga charges even for using the lounge chairs by their pool…! Now, why is that? Isn’t Baia Blu La Tortuga overcharging me already for my dinky bungalow, the sheets, the towels, the wi-fi, etc., so that they can afford to have more free lounging chairs by the pool? Finally…Check out at 9 a.m.! Again WHY so early? This is an unnecessary inconvenience, that since I am NOT an early riser really put me in a bad mood. So why we went to Baia Blu La Tortuga in the first place? We joined our friends, and I knew Baia Blu La Tortuga wouldn’t have been our family’s first choice, but I was happy to spend a week with my friends. I just did not expect to be so irritated by the overall money grabbing attitude of this company. Still, I am not giving up on Sardegna, which I know to be very beautiful and welcoming; I am just going to stay away from any Baia Blu La Tortuga establishment. Marketing Team, Agency / Consultant at Baia Holiday Baia Blu La Tortuga, responded to this review Dear Maria, thank you for sharing your views, the opinion of our guests is very important to us. We are sorry that your stay in our Camping Village did not meet your expectations. However, we hope you enjoyed your holiday because of the beauty of the place and our helpfulness. We will do everything we can to resolve the critical points and improve. Our best regards
