    Value stay

Stayed for 4 nights, it is a very traditional hotel, very clean and reception staff very helpful. Unfortunately there is little soundproofing and the rooms are very noisy, hear everything from next rooms, corridor, doors shutting, bathrooms so can be noisy, especially ground floor rooms. It was excellent value for money, very clean and included breakfast, so a pleasant stay.

    Old-fashioned but fine

During our road trip in Sardinia, Arzachena was probably the place I loved the least.Maybe the weather had something to do with it, but the town is very drab and it's quite a way to the coasts. We ended up going to Porto Cervo, an opulent and garish town where food was pricey, expensive cars were on display and everyone took themselves very seriously.Santa Teresa was nice and in hindsight I wished we had stayed there based on its squares, proximity to the coast and general ambience.Hotel Citti was fine. It is a typically old-fashioned hotel with a very old-fashioned style of decoration, a basic but pleasant breakfast and a nice pool. The staff were friendly enough and helped when we forgot a guide book, forwarding it to another hotel we were staying at later on.As a base to travel, Hotel Citti ticked the boxes even if the area was not to my liking.

A very nice and pleasant stay!

After staying in all four star hotels for two weeks in Sicily and other parts of Sardinia, I was given the name and location of Hotel Citti, a three star hotel. A lady at the tourist information center suggested we try this hotel. Hotel Citti, although not fancy, was our favorite hotel out of all. The room was spotlessly clean, the beds were very comfortable, and most improtantly during a European heat wave, the air conditioning was very cool. Our room was very large with beds to accomodate four people even though we were only two. While another review was not impressed with the lobby looking like a family living room, I thought it made the hotel feel like a "home away from home." We were there during summer vacation so the owners' children were watching television and playing in the lobby. While that may bother some, we enjoyed seeing similar things to what we experience at home. This is a family owned hotel and the family was lovely. The male owner worked at the reception desk and was very kind and accomodating. Breakfast was served in the bar/snack area and was very nice. We thought there was a very nice selection of food for a 3 star hotel. We only spent one night and were very sad to leave such a peaceful place. The location is great as it is minutes from the heart of Arzachena and a very short drive to the ferry taking you to Maddalena Island. If I have the opportunity to travel to Sardinia again, I will definitely return to this hotel and wiill stay several days.

    This hotel makes travelling nice

When you want a hotel with the best look outside, you have to pay several times the price from this hotel. Inside, the rooms are large, clean, with airconditioning so very well. Also with Swimmingpool and a line staff, very kind. The price is low and makes travelling and dinners in Costa Smeralda nice. It is a very nice stay everytime. For an early of late check Inn, they try always the best without extra costs. It is a 3 star hotel running by a family, so the contact is nice.It all makes it pleasant.

Hotel Citti - adequate room but reception by staff poor

    rating20 Jul 2013

The hotel was a cheap and not so cheerful option for staying in Arzachena. Our room was clean, cool with a good bathroom and a comfortable bed, though a bit tired. The owners were, at best shy and at worst unwelcoming, though the chamber maids were perfectly nice. The owners gave the impression they hated their business, never smiled or greeted, kept us waiting while he texted on his mobile.. Breakfast was ok but you had to ask for milk and it was dispensed by the owner onto cereal and taken away again. The pool looked clean enough but there was no shade, broken chairs and the area was untidy. The reception areas were used like the family living room, tvs on with cartoons and shopping channels, washing on the floor in laundry basket, vacuum in the corner, boxes and rubbish left in corners.. Ok if you want somewhere cheap and clean passing through but wouldn't recommend for any longer. More like a motel than a hotel really. Don't think I'd use it again.
