  1970s school colony motel, minimal comfort and unprofessional stuff.

  1970s school colony motel where nobody sleeps 💤. This hotel takes bus loads of school kids for colony, hundreds of kids mixed with the rest of the clients- noise levels in extremity day and night. Not possible to relax/sleep. No Internet in rooms. Air-conditioning not working. No kettle, no minibar, no water bottle.Very poor quality of stuff, mainly unprofessional. The products used for breakfast are seriously bad/ cheap. Brown water running from the tap in our bedroom - do drink tap water in this place. Swimming pool closed full time due to water quality issues (regardless 3 lifeguards working 7-19h on site), not even a minimal security by the pool- I would not have children in this area.Réception stuff seems to have a laugh when asking them questions, perhaps too tired to answer complaints!This hotel is one of the worst I've seen, still living the 1970s.I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. We'd like to address your concerns in detail.Your stay took place from April 20th to 23rd on a B&B basis, which obviously didn't allow you to fully evaluate our food and beverage offerings. The room assigned to you is number 307, with a terrace and sea view, and therefore a free upgrade since you had booked a standard room without a terrace or sea view. Regarding noise, we did have a lot of children staying at the property during those days, who are certainly less quiet than adult guests. However, your complaint is the only one, as other guests have not raised any complaints. Regarding the pool, there was a delay due to inclement weather in the days before your arrival. The same bad weather also caused the water to be less transparent, especially in the rooms where it was necessary to leave the tap running for a few minutes to ensure perfectly clear water. Regarding your other concerns, we would like to point out that the heating and cooling systems in the rooms are working perfectly, and that Wi-Fi in the rooms was never provided or promised (the descriptions clearly state that Wi-Fi is only available in common areas). If you continue reading the description carefully, as we believe you did, you may notice that a kettle is neither provided nor promised in the rooms, and that there is a mini-fridge for drinks guests wish to keep chilled, rather than a minibar that provides drinks.   Definetely not a 4-star Hotel.

  The Hotel claim to be 4 stars which it is not true. Tables at the bar are all broken, personel barely speaks other language than Italian and you get different info from the reception depending on the person you ask. The senior women in the reception are not friendly and sometimes very rude. There is no option for late check-out at 12 even though check in is only at 4 o'clock... and believe me... they don't let you in before 4. I was there at 8 am and I could only enter at 4 - which I don t complain but don tt say you can t check out at 12 and lie that the Hotel is full (I saw many booking options online) if it is completely doable for the cleaning ladies to start cleaning your room at 12 as nobody get is before 4. The beach is quite small and the common bathrooms are not always clean and sometimes it lacks toilet paper. Beach food is awful and the kudos to Luca and Leonardo which where great serving us. They are responsible for a better grade. Another person in the bar was extremelly grumpy wouldn t smile and also no English at all. Music every evening was Ok, however I would suggest to finish at 22h as it would go until very late and we could hear very loud in our room. In 12 days, there was no chicken or cow meat in the restaurant, mostly fish and pork meat. Dinner was from 7h30 to 9 but if you arrive at 8.30 there are dishes that are not replaced. Food was good most of the time. Pizza was great and tasteful and the pasta as well. Not too much fruit ...Location is great, close to the Port and walking distance from the Hotel. For the rest, it was quite expensive for the service we got.   Lovely relaxed hotel

  A great break in a lovely hotel. Palau is a great spot to explore Costa smerelda and la madalenna. Staff all very welcoming and friendly and food (HB) was very good. The restaurant usually did 2 fish courses, 1 meat, a potato (paramentier, wedges etc) and couple of pasta dishes (served) They also had loads of salads, plain pasta/rice with sauces and loads of fresh pizza. Breakfast was traditional continental and plentiful.If you are after burgers, chips and all you can eat this isn’t for youIf you are looking for a chilled out and relaxed hotel with nice food and a great location you are in luck. Palau has a lovely vibe and is only a 5 minute walk away.We never had an issue find a car parking space in the main hotel car park and saw plenty of places local to the hotel too - if a car park space has white lines it is freeThe hotel is split into two and you have to cross a quiet room to get down to the residence hotel and beach the main hotel around a deeper pool and piano bar which has gentle singing and music 8:30-11pm The residence apartments which is largely self catering and has another pool which is slightly shallower pool, kids club and the evening entertainment which was usually kids club, an act 10-11pm and then discoThere is direct access to the sea through the apartment blocks and free access to sun loungers on the beach We stopped in room 115 as a family of 4.   The accommodation is in need of general updating. The room we stayed in was spacious, very clean but the deco was tired and in need of updating and maintaining. The door to the cupboard where the mini fridge was had only 1 hinge in tack so it fell off when opened. The shower cubical was tiny and the shower head was attached to the wall. When you turned the shower on it wet the room as you couldn't face it away from the doors which obviously were opened to access the on/ off. The outside area was similar and a little unkempt. There were lots of weeds and old furniture lying around. There were not enough sunbeds for guests. It was quite funny watching people sat on chairs waiting for some to become free...it was then like Russian roulette. The breakfast was not the best, no beans,mushroom, only scrambled or boiled eggs. Not proper sausage ( hotdogs fried). Fruit was poor selection plums and apples. There were bananas on one day. No grapes, melon, pineapple, payapa.No nuts. There were lots of cake for breakfast. No pure fruit juice. Did not have evening meal so couldn't comment. Entertainment in the evening was limited. Location was good, parking excellent, air-conditioning in the room very good, rooms and towels cleaned daily. We had no balcony ( which wasn't clear when I booked) as we only stayed 4 nights it wasn't a major issue.   Would not recommend or return, not 4*

  Booked through easyJet holidays. Hotel was certainly not a 4* probably 3* at best. Room assigned was nothing like the images shown on websites when booking, travelling as a couple we received a family room with bunk beds, two single beds and mattresses pushed together, MFI wardrobes, dated bathroom and the smallest ever shower, no WiFi in room. More like a hostel. We did request an alternative room within 24hrs of arrival but no support or solution from easyJet or hotel after multiple comms. Also every day pestered by cheese sellers around the complex on way to/from breakfast. Restaurant staff were rude on numerous occasions. Hotel is split into two areas and divided by road. Parking limited at peak times. Only positive would be location to town.
