    Great hotel to stay in Olbia

    We were guests of this hotel from September 17 to 24. My wife and I visited Sardinia for the first time. We chose this hotel due to very good reviews. In fact, all the positive reviews are true, for the kind behavior of the staff, for the very good breakfast, and for the hotel's location close to the center, but quiet. We would especially like to note the very responsive lobby employee Gabriele, who always kindly helped with all questions. We would also like to thank the staff who prepared and served breakfast. It was a pleasure to come to breakfast every morning, because we were always greeted by kind and smiling staff, who, as is customary in Italy, offered us coffee to start. Thank to the L'Essenza hotel team for hospitality. We will definitely come back to Sardinia and without a doubt L'Essenza hotel in Olbia will be our first choice for where to stay. Ilona & Viktors

    Great location near the waterfront and Corso Umberto in a quiet side street. Staff were extremely helpful and the rooms clean, quiet and functional although small.The highlight however was an excellent breakfast with staff welcoming and the buffet proving a good choice catering for all tastes. The terrace at the breakfast level has great views over Olbia. Highly recommended. Restaurant 96 is nearby and worth trying (see seperate review)

    Exceptional hotel throughout, from booking to departure. Staff were brillant, very friendly and accommodating. The housekeepers all acknowledged you, the breakfast team were incredibly happy and enjoyed singing along to the music. Receptionist went above and beyond expectations, arranging holding luggage and personally informing us when the room was ready. Very clean, comfortable and relaxing hotel perfectly placed for walking around Olbia.

    Walls are Paper Thin

    Seemed more like a hospital room than a hotel. Room was worn down and certainly no robes like in the photos. Shower was moldy and no soap dish or anything to even put soap on except shower floor. Walls are paper thin and you can hear anything and everything outside the room. Sleep was difficult. I will say the AC worked and was cold. Location good.

    A lot of 5 star hotels could learn from this well run hotel.Service cannot be faulted. Staff are friendly, helpful and always greet you with a smile. Other hotels we have visited on this trip have appeared to be indifferent to overseas visitors at times and pandered more to their local tourists which we have found quite surprising. Breakfast is ample and staff ask if you would like a coffee and also ask if you would like a top up.Rooms are spotlessly clean and the location can’t be beat being only a short stroll from shops and eateries.Would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to people wanting a good option at a reasonable price.
