Location

In the heart of Alghero the centre of which is 800 m away, the hotel is 10 km from the famous tourist resort of the Riviera del Corallo and is at the gateway to the Old Town. The hotel is situated just a short walk from the Old Town, the main shopping centre and the beaches at The Lido. Alghero-Fertilia Airport and Olbia-Costa Smeralda Airport are some 10 km and 120 km away respectively.

Facility

The hotel has 4 junior suites, 3 suites and 121 double rooms, which are located on 9 storeys and are reachable by lift. Multilingual staff (English, German, French) at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities available at the hotel include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and drinks machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. Rooms

    Disappointing. Not 4 star quality. No bar available for residents- venue was used for events daily leaving residents without access to either an opportunity to simply relax with a drink/coffee or enjoy the roof terrace.     I had a good size room with good lighting and free to use safe. There was tea and coffee in the room but you will need to provide your own milk/creamer. Not a large choice for breakfast. Good location near the mariner and a short walk to the centre.     Good location but exceptionally rude receptionist

    The location of this hotel is perfect to enjoy what this beautiful city has to offer.Our room was comfortable and we paid extra for a sea view.We were part of a touring party and generally the hotels are prepared and organised for when Groups arrive. This one certainly wasn’t however the male receptionist was doing his best to distribute 20 sets of keys. Then the problem started as the female receptionist called Matilda cut across her colleague and was very rude to my wife. The other members of the Group could not believe and she had my wife in tears.To be fair she was rude to other members of the Group during our two day stay so it was not an isolated incident.I emailed her manager but he brushed it off by saying you have to be “decisive and firm “ dealing with a large “tired” group but bearing in mind it was 4pm I don’t know where this idea came from. No apology was forthcoming and the same receptionist was again rude to other members of the Group the next day. Again to be fair most of the hotel staff struggled to either smile or be polite during our stay.The Sky Bar was closed both nights due to a Rotary Club dinner and a Wedding so we couldn’t enjoy the sunset or experience of this bar.Breakfast was in a small room on the first floor and the quality was poor so suggest you try some of the excellent places in the old town.We have stayed in a lot of hotels but never experienced a member of the team and a welcome like this !     Basic hotel . Clean and pleasant reception staff. Unfortunately no outside relaxing space as a garden area was closed for refurbishment. Breakfast was very basic and not very exciting. Overall a little disappointed.     Best thing about this hotel was the location which is 5 minutes walk to the beach and 5 minutes to the old town. We were part of a tour party and our experience did not match that of reviews I have seen. We had breakfast in the hotel but were kept in groups as regards tables , not allowed to sit just anywhere and the breakfast was not the best by any means: cheeses, ham, bread, croissants, scrambled egg and bacon, cereals . The sun terrace was a building site. The sky bar was inaccessible, reserved for private parties. Wi-Fi is patchy. There is no bar area. Staff are surly, there was just one lady receptionist who was polite.
