  Overall an excellent holiday with just a couple of negatives as identified

  We went to this hotel between September 13th & 20th.It is somewhat isolated so a car is really required unless,that is,you go all inclusive.We had a Junior Suite which was fine although the outside of the blocks need re-decoration and the individual apartment numbers outside highlighted as it is difficult to see them in the dark.The food was excellent as too was the evening entertainment.The reception staff were first class,in particular both Anna & Guiseppe.However,upon arrival you are informed the swimming pool towels will only be replaced every three days.This is nonsense and possibly management's short sighted way of trying to save money.It is impossible for the towels to dry overnight.When taking them to reception each morning they were changed with no problem thereby causing the staff to contradict themselves.There was one very unsatisfactory experience when,on September 19th,the Catering Manager reprimanded a member of bar staff in a highly loud aggressive manner in full view of the guests We thought the poor young man was actually going to be hit.The Manager should,at best,be reprimanded for his outrageous behaviour or,at worst, dismissed or demoted.It was extremely embarassing.Whilst the young man may well have done something wrong the situation should have been dealt with in a private environment.However,overall it must be said my wife and I had a great time.   We never return to hotels, but came back to this one after a 3 year gap. This hotel is so lovely we had to return. The layout is excellent, the scenery is superb and the staff are excellent. Then there is the food. Breakfast is a wonderful buffet, with the freshest of ingredients. Lunch has the most fabulous sandwiches by the pool bar. But it is with dinner that this hotel excels. The bar makes superb cocktails, and their Negronis are excellent. The ½ board menu is a standard 4 course Italian menu, with a choice of 2 from 3 between anti pasta, premo and secondi. It is exquisitely cooked to order. The wine list is all Sardinian and the waiters are all so well trained and knowledgeable. The local area is so beautiful too, with superb little beaches minutes drive away. Then there are the sunsets. Just Incredible. Come to this beautiful place, you won’t be short changed. Wider - parking is plentiful, Sun loungers are everywhere, the private beach is delightful.   Disappointing Experience – Would Not Recommend

  We are curently staying at the Hotel Corte Rosada and, unfortunately, our experience falls far short of expectations.On arrival, the staff were friendly and welcoming, which gave us hope for a pleasant stay. However, the room we were given was not what we had expected. It was extremely small, with no garden view as advertised – instead, we looked out over dry pine needles and a very barren, woody area. We accepted this with good grace, thinking that the rest of our stay might make up for it.The real problem is the air-conditioning. It simply does not work. The unit seems locked at 27-28°C, blowing only warm air with no cooling whatsoever. In such a small, enclosed space, the heat quickly became stifling and unbearable. To make matters worse, the in-room phone doesn't work, so we couldn’t even call reception to report the problem without walking over in person. Their advice to contact them was to use our own mobile from Australia to reach them - a costly phone call to report issues that shouldn't exist.We were assured on the first day that both the air-conditioning and phone issues would be fixed promptly. They were not. Day two came and went with exactly the same problems, and no sign of resolution. Our last day is tom - we await to see whst further challenges we have.In the end, the “bells and whistles” the hotel advertises – modern rooms, climate control, comfort – were simply non-functional. If you are looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere.   Tranquil retreat in a beautiful setting

  We arrived to a friendly greeting and were personally shown the way to our classic room overlooking the courtyard with pine trees all around and only the buzz of cicadas to listen too. The setting by the beach overlooking the bay is truly beautiful, and the pool is one of the largest we’ve come across at any hotel, and it was never busy in mid July. The room was quite simple but has a fridge and good size bathroom and a small balcony, which was pleasant to sit out in the evening. We’d recommend a classic room over the standard rooms as these would be too small.The hotel breakfast is varied and plentiful with cooked options, fresh fruit and great Italian cakes.
