    A very nice experience. Super nice staff that always was happy and kind and helpful. Felt very personal and caring. Location is really excellent in the center of the city la Madalena, just around the corner you have restaurants, bars and all sorts of shops. The hotel is newly refurbished and felt as a new hotel. We had a junior suite which had a lot of space, could easily be 3 in the room. Excellent air con, quiet and efficient. A very nice bath room, plenty of space, and super fresh, rain drop shower, and plenty of space to get rid of sand after a day at the beech. Break fast room with big windows that is opened in nice whether overlooking the harbour and the ferry station with ferries to the mainland Sardinia. If you arrive with the ferry the hotel is located just opposite the harbour, very convenient. If you stay more than just a few days I recommend you book a junior suite, it is much bigger than ordinary rooms, we stayed 1 wk, and was very happy with our choice. We believe the hotel provided very good value for money. We first planed to book a 5 star hotel, but after reviews and when we saw that the hotel was in the center, we selected Excelsior, and we are so happy we did. If we ever come back to la madalena, the choice is easy, we will stay at Excelsior. This 4 star hotel is much better than many of the 5 stars hotels that we have stayed at. Many thanks to the wonderful staff for a very nice stay, and best of luck to all of you for the future.

    We loved our stay at this charming hotel. It is very centrally located and you can easily get everywhere on the island without a car. The rooms are very comfortable and classically decorated, and the breakfast on the terrace is lovely. Best of all is the wonderful staff who are extremely positive and helpful.

    This hotel is in a great location. Ferrys starts next door and services are nearby. Laundry, scooter rental, restaurants, ATM. The hotel is clean and luxuriously decorated. The service was especially warm, really nice, helpful and happy people in the reception! You can rent beach towels from the hotel and there is a sunbathing area on the roof of the hotel. The hotel's breakfast is really good. The room is quite small but functional. The bed is good as is the pillow. The bathroom is clean but there is a little bad air conditioning and the shower cubicle is quite small. The room has adjustable air conditioning and a good refrigerator. The room is really clean, in good condition, (number 100), and the balcony is in a location where it's nice to watch the cars coming and going to the ship and people passing by on this busy street.

    Loved this hotel! The hotel staff is so kind and helpful and the rooms are very nice. It is in a good location across from the ferry port and everything you need from gelato to a cash machine is right there. We would definitely stay here again if we ever get back to Sardinia.
